As a single woman, i'm used to pick up and assembly everything in my house and even family members house. i can put anything together from a big heavy sofa to a 5 drawer shelf, on my own... so this was supposed to be just another weekend project. it has literally turned out into an almost 2 weeks project. there are too many pieces, too many different kinds of screws that dont even fit properly according to the instructions. bottom line, i dont even know what to do now, the little drawer is hanging half way, i obviously cant keep it that way, im considering just throwing it away and let the table without the draw. Major dissapointment because it would look super cute as a little desk, but it was too hard to put together, so i wont even consider taking back to the store. I should have listen to what the other costumers said and buy an easier to assemble one. lesson learnt!

I have owned this desk now for about five months. I thought this desk looked nice and was a good value for the money. The assembly was comparable to any other self-assembled furniture—no problems there. But after a few weeks the laminated finish on the legs started peeling up. Then the finish on the top of the desk started rubbing off and chipping on the edges. Then finally the table top became warped and started to sag down into the path of the drawer making it practically useless. I will probably continue to use it until it completely falls apart, but I would not recommend this desk to anyone else. .

Needed a vanity for a small space and this was perfect. It ended up being my pro makeup artist station. Love it. I did get a piece of plexiglass for the top so makeup liquids wouldn't damage it. For the price...get it! Very sturdy! Holds my Hollywood style huge mirror with lights!

I needed a simple writing desk with a modern and clean look. Found this and decided to give it a try ... Definitely glad I got it. I built it in about an hour by myself. It's not that hard to put together. I don't have any issues with the drawer sticking but I wish it came with a handle that wasn't plastic, though, for $40 what do you expect? I think I'll be getting a second one to use as a console table.

We bought this table as a "sofa table" because we had a bare wall and something needed to go there and we found this at our local walmart and it it was perfect! It only took my husband about an hour to put it together and he really has never put anything together like this. All the pieces went on correctly and the table is very sturdy. We plan to decorate it a different way, these pictures were right after he assembled it and I just wanted you reviewers to get a better idea of how big it is and what it looks like! :) Overall I'm very satisfied with this table!!

It came with missing pieces and took a long time to put together. The drawer is made of cheap materials and we immediately began to have problems. The drawer would not align, and the bottom would not fit completely. Making it useless. The back piece was not black like the rest of the desk, and neither was the strip which is directly above it - I used black electrical tape to cover it.

I use mine as a vanity. It was inexpensive and it's surprisingly very cute. At first I had a hard time putting it together, then someone else helped me and it was a much easier. About 1hr to put together. The drawer is pretty small, but it slides smoothly. The handle on the drawer is wobbly on mine, probably my faul, but it annoys me... The faux-wood black paint is a little nicer than plain black paint, makes it look pretty good. Oh and I spill stuff (makeup and drinks) on it all the time, it just wipes clean! Its not amazing quality but I would definitely recomend this to anyone looking for a cheap decent quality and durable cute desk.

I bought this writing table to use as a place to set up my laptop. There's room enough for it, a small lamp, 2 small PC speakers, a mug of pens/pencils, my mouse & pad, even my mug warmer and cup of coffee, with plenty of space leftover for jotting notes, thumbing through my log book, or any other light task. The drawer glides in and out smoothly and quietly, and has plenty of space for my notecards & envelopes & postage stamps, notepads, a few pens, a bottle of white-out, flash drives, USB lamp, sticky notes, and other small items. I'm quite content with this desk! It sits next to my bed in a wall corner, so it doubles as my bedside table. I absolutely love my writing table!

I bought this because I was wanting a vanity. I already had a mirror and for a simple table/desk everyone wanted way to much even browsing Craigslist people are crazy with what they want for a simple table. I knew I would be painting this... the black it comes in is ok but not my taste. So I painted it a metallic silver to match accerssories in my bedroom. I love how it came out. Its perfect for a vanity and as lots of space to do my make-up and lots of room for writing ect. Cute Sturdy little desk. My husband didn't like putting it together, but thats what men are for :) lol. It would make a cute sofa table or entry table also. Happy with purchase.

Don't get me wrong this is a nice table but the assembly is the worst. You practically need a power drill to put in the screws because they are so hard to screw in. My hands are literally red at the point.

    • A. No. This table will never hold 232 lbs. of water, which is how heavy 29 gallons of water is @ 8lbs/gal. Definitely do not use this for a tank filled with water. I would say, 25 to 30 lbs. would be a maximum weight before it becomes way too top heavy.

    • A. I recently purchased this table for my studio to act as a coffee bar. In my opinion it cannot handle 150 pounds - as your title asks. However, it can handle a 20 pound fish tank no worries. I'd suggest placing some plastic under it or some form of waterproof buffer, maybe even clear contact paper on the top so the water doesn't make the press wood buckle which it will do. But as for 150 pounds, no way. I wouldn't stand on it for anything. I think it would crumble under that weight considering it it only held in with less than a dozen screws. I used weldbond glue on all the joints, screw holes and places where the pressed board touched for added strength and it worked big time! However, I wouldn't trust this table to hold more than a large lamp, laptop computer and few nick-nacks. Hope this helps! If you're looking for that kind of weight I'd suggest looking for real wood.

    • A. 150 lbs is pushing the limits. Because the legs are designed at an angle, any lateral motion is going to put an incredible amount of stress on the joints. Think holding a dumbbell with your arms extended. As a mechanical engineer, I would not recommend this table for heavy loads.
