This desk was easy to put together. I use it in my apartment bedroom to put my 32 inch tv on. The table is sturdy and looks nice.

    Pretty table!!

We bought this table as a "sofa table" because we had a bare wall and something needed to go there and we found this at our local walmart and it it was perfect! It only took my husband about an hour to put it together and he really has never put anything together like this. All the pieces went on correctly and the table is very sturdy. We plan to decorate it a different way, these pictures were right after he assembled it and I just wanted you reviewers to get a better idea of how big it is and what it looks like! :) Overall I'm very satisfied with this table!!

    Using as a Vanity

    Customer review by reamsa

    5.0 stars by reamsa

I bought this because I was wanting a vanity. I already had a mirror and for a simple table/desk everyone wanted way to much even browsing Craigslist people are crazy with what they want for a simple table. I knew I would be painting this... the black it comes in is ok but not my taste. So I painted it a metallic silver to match accerssories in my bedroom. I love how it came out. Its perfect for a vanity and as lots of space to do my make-up and lots of room for writing ect. Cute Sturdy little desk. My husband didn't like putting it together, but thats what men are for :) lol. It would make a cute sofa table or entry table also. Happy with purchase.

    • Not a good idea ... Not with this desk. Not made for that kind of weight, plus made of compressed wood...

    • No. This table will never hold 232 lbs. of water, which is how heavy 29 gallons of water is @ 8lbs/gal. Definitely do not use this for a tank filled with water. I would say, 25 to 30 lbs. would be a maximum weight before it becomes way too top heavy.

    • I would NOT try to support 29 gallons of water with this desk. It is not made for that kind of weight.

    • I don't think that's a good idea. You should use something that was made for a fish tank or higher quality furniture. This desk looks nice but would not stand up to much weight on top or many years of use.

    • Don't recommend for a fish tank, it' to light. I like it because it is easy to move.

I have a 20 gallon fish tank I want to put on this table. Does anyone know if this can handle that kind of weight? Thanks!

    • No way!

    • I recently purchased this table for my studio to act as a coffee bar. In my opinion it cannot handle 150 pounds - as your title asks. However, it can handle a 20 pound fish tank no worries. I'd suggest placing some plastic under it or some form of waterproof buffer, maybe even clear contact paper on the top so the water doesn't make the press wood buckle which it will do. But as for 150 pounds, no way. I wouldn't stand on it for anything. I think it would crumble under that weight considering it it only held in with less than a dozen screws. I used weldbond glue on all the joints, screw holes and places where the pressed board touched for added strength and it worked big time! However, I wouldn't trust this table to hold more than a large lamp, laptop computer and few nick-nacks. Hope this helps! If you're looking for that kind of weight I'd suggest looking for real wood.

    • The assembly sheet says that it can hold 40lbs so unless you want to downgrade to a fish bowl, you might want to pick up a different table.

    • 150 lbs is pushing the limits. Because the legs are designed at an angle, any lateral motion is going to put an incredible amount of stress on the joints. Think holding a dumbbell with your arms extended. As a mechanical engineer, I would not recommend this table for heavy loads.

    • You would have to probably reinforce with a couple braces under the table-top. Its a very sturdy desk, but that may be at the max capacity.
