My husband and I both climbed onto the top bunk. Didn't take long to put together (less than 3 hours with one person).AND these bunkbeds are beautiful. 02/12/2010

We were worried that they would be cheaply made & we would hate them but we love them! They are made of wood (soft pine i think) & it dings up easily but for the price we paid I would buy them again! The first one took us awhile to put together & by the time we did the second we breezed through it! I have caught the boys hanging from the top side rail & nothing has broken & they are very sturdy! Rated 5 out of 5 by SlickMom Glad we did it We are very happy with our purchase. We bought it in April for our 5 and 2 year old sons. Our 5 year old is on top and the 2 year old on the bottom. The younger one was scared so my husband layed down with him for a bit and when he got up, one of the boards under the mattress broke so we put plywood down too. So if you are going to be laying on it as well, you will need extra support as it is only made for smaller children. Overall, we are very pleased. 06/16/2009

The beds are VERY sturdy (no wiggles or wobbles), yet lightweight, and look fabulous.The last set of bunks they had cost me $600, weighed a ton, and was junk compared to this. My only gripe would be the position of the ladder - makes it a bit of a pain in the behind to make the bottom bunk. Other than that, no complaints here.I set them up myself in about an hour and a half, and even managed to get the top bunk on the bottom one by myself (with a little ingenuity).All in all, a FANTASTIC set of beds for a great value. 02/16/2011
