With 3 kids and 2 adults we would normally spend a lot of time sorting clothes. We looked for months try to decide what to buy in order to stop this madness. I finally saw a youtube video of someone who did one out of PVC pipes. I decided to do this and went to walmart to buy the bags (before buying the PVC pipes) and saw this hamper. I couldn't believe it. We bought two and are very pleased with it. Yes, its a little fragile, but, we have ours in the basement next to the washer and dryer so we don't have to move it a lot. For those who complain about it being weak, what are you doing? racing down the street with it? Anyway, the bags are deep and hold a lot of clothes, almost 2 loads per bag if you ask me. Highly recommend it as long as you are using it to store dirty clothes instead of popping wheelies or something :D Oh, and the mesh bags are of acceptable quality to carry your laundry if you have to. I just take mine off and wash it with the clothes every now and then.

I have three girls under the age of four and I was tired of checking the size of each and every article of clothing while folding to see who it belonged to. And don't get me started on the socks! So I decided that I want to keep the girls' clothes separated at all times and do them in separate loads. All of the other three sectioned hampers that I was looking at were at least $50, so when I found this one for $10, I was willing to give it a go and it works great! For the reviews that say that this item is too flimsy, I wonder if they got the pipes pushed in all the way into the connectors because I found that I had to put my full weight on each pipe as I was putting it together to get them to slide in all the way. Once they where in completely, I actually found it pretty sturdy (for PVC type plastic). My two year old was even hanging off of it at one point, although I don't think that should be a frequent occurrence. I bought it to just sit in one place and I'll remove the bags to wash the clothing, but I would be comfortable moving it with clothes inside. I also bought it for kids clothes, but I wouldn't hesitate to throw a few towels in there as well. Over all, this is absolutely worth $10!

For this product you definitely get what you pay for. It works okay if you're just setting it in the laundry room to keep dirty clothes organized, and it stays stationary. But, don't plan on moving it with any clothes in it, since it falls apart pretty easily.

Works great if you are looking for something to just sort your laundry. Don't let the wheels fool you, it does not move. The first time I moved it was the day I bought it and it broke. I managed to get it back together for awhile, but it broke again. I now just use the bags. They aren't as heavy as an actual basket.

If you bump into it, the pipes come apart. I suppose I could glue them together and that would work better, but my main complaint is the tabs that hold the bags on have broken off. Also, the slits in the bag to hang on the tabs have torn and won't stay on the few tabs that remain on the sorter. I'm not dragging this all over the place or anything weird, the actual sorter sits in the closet and I just lift the bags in and out once a week to do laundry, and after 5 months, it's unusable. Of course, it is about $20 cheaper than any comparable product, so I guess you get what you pay for.

    • A. Hi. I just put this together recently. What they are referring to are the loops on the laundry bags which wrap around the round tabs on the top of each section.

    • A. I bought two of these, and I had to have my husband snap on the first set. I did the second set, and I had to push so hard that my hands hurt for a while after. It seems impossible, but if you press hard enough it works.

    • A. I had the same trouble and handed it to one of my boys who had the muscle power behind them. I and my DIL couldn't do it. If you don't have a strong man around the house, maybe take a soft cloth and a pair of pliers or a wrench (I don't know my tools) and use that to get them on. Make sure you line up the little peg to the holes. Hope that helps! :)

    • A. It is somewhat of a task to get those tabs on the pipes. That is the one bad thing about the assembly of this sorter. However try to get close to the hole on the rod and only snap one end of the tab on the pole. It might take a little practice and a lot of pressure. Once it is on look at the other side (where the tab is not attached to the pole) and try to line the pin on the tab up to the hole on the rod. This can be done by sliding the tab up or down (try to get it as close as possible intially, because too much sliding can cause the one side to pop off). Once it's lined up it will snap in. Hope this helps anyone with this problem.

    • A. On two of the bars, there should be a set of two holes on each one. Try your best to line the hole up with the middle of the tab(the part where the piece sticks out), then apply pressure to one end, make sure the piece goes into the hole and then press the other end down. Hopefully this helps!

    • A. You probably could use it without the wheels because they come detached in the box and pop in/out; however I would recommend leaving them on for frequent use, it helps with the stability of the frame.

    • A. I would put the wheels on it. It rolls easily but I wouldn't move it around alot. I leave mine in the laundry room and occasionall roll it over to the machine. Be sure to glue the pipe joints with PVC adhesive and it will last a good long time!

    • A. i would say yes you do need to assemble the wheels cause it has a part that hooks to the main structure its the main weight and structure of the bottem and the part it hooks to might scratch a surface and also it may not weigh enough to hold your clothing without the structure of the wheels and weight and balance of the wheels but the wheels are smaller then they seem in the image
