Rated 5 out of 5 by budgetballin Great Investment I decided to make a change in my bedroom and bought this tv stand to go with my new black desk, and bookcase. Both of which are Mainstays brand as well. I was excited to learn of the dvd storage on both sides. I have a bunch of dvd's and video games and used the left side for movies and the right side for video games. All in all the side shelves of the stand hold 96 dvd cases. Its lower to the ground which works very well if you do not have a high rising bed. The assembly was super easy. I suggest using two people to keep everything aligned. The front of the unit also has a shelf that is adjustable. the middle shelf may seem too large for the front of the tv stand to place on the pegs but if you just tilt the shelf, insert it and then straighten it, it will work well. Right now the front of the unit is holding my dvd player, ps2, and cable box. The tv it holds is an old 26 inch but im upgrading to a 32 inch flatscreen for christmas. My tv stand came out looking just like the one on the box. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who has a lot of multimedia to use the side shelves for. 10/31/2009

I should have made more accurate measurements because I was expecting it to be much bigger; I could not insert the front horizontal shelf because the xbox360 does not fit standing up. Overall, it is very sturdy for my old beast tube tv and it looks a lot nicer than the old stand. 10/04/2009
