I bought two of these shoe racks from my local Walmart a couple of days ago because it claimed that it was stackable and it was very affordable for about 40 bucks for 2 racks. That fits about 40 pairs of shoes total. The package is very light and easy to carry and set up. I took about 40 minutes to set it up, I think. A box comes with the bars, the 2 side ladder type things, some covers for the corners to prevent scratching, and some hand screws. Assembly was easy, but it was a bit difficult assembling them to stack on top of each other since they aren't cut very accurately. I had to hammer down the rack, and while I was doing so, metal actually managed to scrape off of where it was pushing in. After assembling, it was very very very nice. You could extend the bar to be longer, so if you bought two racks, you can make it both lengthier and wider. Shoes that are higher than ankle high usually are harder to pull out than normal height shoes. Heels stay fine in the rack. Shoes that do not have any grip or a heel tend to slide down if you move the rack around, but if you put a little duct tape on top of the rods, it won't slide. Overall, I really like it and NOW I CAN BUY MORE SHOES WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT SPACE!

i have 18 shoes and was able to fit 15 only because i have 7 hightops and could only fit 5 on the top and if i put my hightops on any other the tops will be touching the bottom of the shoes above. i did notice that your shoes need some kind of grip like skate shoes(most of my shoes) because my toms that dont have any grip whatsoever kept falling off so keep this tip in mind when buying. Other than those two problems im fine with the rack. So go and buy one

I really like the slide out feature, I have used every inch of this rack. One thing I didn't like is its appearance. It looks so much bigger online but it's actually smaller. I'm 5'7" & the top rack comes to my knee. Other than that I will be buying another one.

I bought this shoe rack a couple of weeks ago to solve a closet issue of too many unorganized shoes. This is perfect! The shoes stay on the rack, no sliding off. I also thought that the middle would be flimsy when fully extended, but it's not. It was super easy to put together and was the cheapest shoe rack that actually fits 20 pairs of shoes! Would definitely buy again. Two thumbs up!

This thing is going back. The rails that hold the shoes, holds them at a very steep angle. My shoes slide right off. If the cross rails are not really tight, the poles just spin and the shoes roll off. You can tighten it, but it will require retightening from time to time. The angle, and slick round surface makes the rack appear to be made for shoes that have a heel to hold them in place.

DONT BUY!!---Easy to assemble but the shoes will not say on they will slip right off. It seems only my high heels manage to stay put but all other shoes such as SNEAKERS, SLIPPERS, RUNNING SHOES, SANDALS which is like 70% of my wardrobe These shoes will slip right off. Even some of my small heels will topple over because there is no grip. My wedges will only stay because they are on the bottom rack. However, do yourself a favor spend more money on a shoe rack that has some kind of grip. This has no grip. I would return but not worth the hassle.

I was very hopeful setting it up. Very easy and light. However the shoes just slide right off. There is no grip and since the bars are slanted all the shoes end up on floor. Truly a waste of money. I'm looking for a new one that isn't slanted.

This shoe rack is such a great value! I fit 20 pairs of shoes and it's not even fully extended! I could probably fit at least another pair per tier (I wear size 5). I was worried after reading all the reviews about shoes sliding off, luckily, most of my flats have a little bit of a heel (quarter inch) and it stays on the rack pretty well. The only shoes I've noticed sliding off are my converses, but those stay on too after I adjust it on the rack. I was planning on buying a wall mounted shoe storage system from Ikea, but this fits more shoes and cost almost half as much! Love this so much. I'm only disappointed I didn't find this sooner and I already bought an over the door hanging shoe rack, otherwise I would definitely buy two of this.

I love this shoe rack. EXTREMELY easy to put together, and holds alot of shoes. I love the option of expansion/compression, depending on the amount of shoes and space you have. The only thing I didn't like is that my sandals (without much grip at the bottom) kept sliding off because of the angle of the racks. Easy fix: I took an emery board (i'm sure sand paper works as well) and lightly sanded the top of a few of the individual racks. Worked like a charm. The rack is very sturdy. I bought two and stacked them. HIGHLY reccomend.

I bought this in the store because the plastic one I purchased a few years ago fell apart. This one is all metal & is held together by thumbscrews on the ends. The bars expand so you can make it as long or short as you need. It went together with no tools & very easily. I had a little trouble getting 1 bar to expand, but I pried it with some scissors & it came right out. It hold 6 pairs of women's size 7.5 shoes on 1 rack, so I got 24 pairs on the racks + there's room underneath for sneakers & flats. I definitely think it's a good product & worth the $$. I had it together & shoes in place in about 15-20 minutes.

I have more shoes on the floor than on the rack. Shoes slide off the front or fall thru the opening in each level. I can not imagine who this rack would actually work for. We are a family of 4 with shoes ranging toddler 8 to mens 11, flats with rubber soles to heels and tennis shoes, nothing stays on. Junk, garbage, waste of time. Surprised it has so many great reviews. I ordered 2 to stack them and use them in the garage, I will return my second rack for a refund. Tried to upload a photo to show you how terrible this rack is, but Walmart seems to have a problem with the upload and keeps timing out.

    • A. It fit my running sneakers pretty easily, (men's size 13, to give you an idea for shoe height), but I imagine the shoes boxes would have to be small to get them in between the bars from one row to the next.

    • A. Any size could fit on top, and shorter ones will fit on the shelves. But the rungs are slippery, so boxes will probably fall off. If you're always going to use it for that, though, you could use sandpaper on the rungs without worrying about it showing.
