I bought this in the store because the plastic one I purchased a few years ago fell apart. This one is all metal & is held together by thumbscrews on the ends. The bars expand so you can make it as long or short as you need. It went together with no tools & very easily. I had a little trouble getting 1 bar to expand, but I pried it with some scissors & it came right out. It hold 6 pairs of women's size 7.5 shoes on 1 rack, so I got 24 pairs on the racks + there's room underneath for sneakers & flats. I definitely think it's a good product & worth the $$. I had it together & shoes in place in about 15-20 minutes.

I love this shoe rack. EXTREMELY easy to put together, and holds alot of shoes. I love the option of expansion/compression, depending on the amount of shoes and space you have. The only thing I didn't like is that my sandals (without much grip at the bottom) kept sliding off because of the angle of the racks. Easy fix: I took an emery board (i'm sure sand paper works as well) and lightly sanded the top of a few of the individual racks. Worked like a charm. The rack is very sturdy. I bought two and stacked them. HIGHLY reccomend.

bought one first, came home asembled and discovered the durability. Drove back to the store and bought two more. The construction is worth the price. have about 50 pairs on this rack now. I did stack them and it is very stable.

I bought two of these shoe racks from my local Walmart a couple of days ago because it claimed that it was stackable and it was very affordable for about 40 bucks for 2 racks. That fits about 40 pairs of shoes total. The package is very light and easy to carry and set up. I took about 40 minutes to set it up, I think. A box comes with the bars, the 2 side ladder type things, some covers for the corners to prevent scratching, and some hand screws. Assembly was easy, but it was a bit difficult assembling them to stack on top of each other since they aren't cut very accurately. I had to hammer down the rack, and while I was doing so, metal actually managed to scrape off of where it was pushing in. After assembling, it was very very very nice. You could extend the bar to be longer, so if you bought two racks, you can make it both lengthier and wider. Shoes that are higher than ankle high usually are harder to pull out than normal height shoes. Heels stay fine in the rack. Shoes that do not have any grip or a heel tend to slide down if you move the rack around, but if you put a little duct tape on top of the rods, it won't slide. Overall, I really like it and NOW I CAN BUY MORE SHOES WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT SPACE!

I bought this at my local store! It came in a really small box and is very light weight! I put it together in less than 10 minutes! It didn't require any tools to put together either! The only downfall of this shelf is that a few of my shoes kept sliding off so I had to position the shoes a little differently on the rack! If you are looking for something that is cheap, easy to assemble and holds a LOT of shoes then this is the rack for you!

    • A. Any size could fit on top, and shorter ones will fit on the shelves. But the rungs are slippery, so boxes will probably fall off. If you're always going to use it for that, though, you could use sandpaper on the rungs without worrying about it showing.
