    It's Great For Me...

I decided to buy 2 of these yesterday after reading some reviews. If you have only standard dvds then you probably wont be satisfied with this product as the shelving isnt made to perfectly hold standards in order. if you have alot of blus, it will work with some judgement. I have blu rays on the 1st and 4th shelves and dvds on 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th shelves as you can see. the only way i got this to work is if you are willing to fix all shelves by screwing each board into place perfectly. you could just set the board onto each row but it may put too much weight on the bottom row. I suggest you screw each shelve in place. The backboard to this product has a major crease from it being folded, but you cant see mine anyway. This is pretty much exactly what i was looking for. about 15 mins to put each together, so its pretty quick. i think overall it looks nice for what i need for $27 each.

I am going to walmart to pick up my third media shelf today. My boyfriend collects cds and this is exactly what we wanted! The adjustable shelves are great for storing dvds and other things, and it is just the right size to fit in the nook in our apartment. It may not be as tall as they look in the picture (they are about 4 ft), but they are great. The best part is the price!!! A+++++

Great alternative for a media "tower"

I bought this because I could not find a media tower specifically for Blu Rays. However after assembling this piece, I found that I could not only store my Blu Rays but also my video games, DVD's, and even my manga! Since it has adjustable shelves I could perfectly fit them to the height of my DVD's, another shelf to the a different height for my Blu Ray's, and so on. I did not feel the need to fix it to the wall, however many people with kids or pets may opt to do so, is great that they give you the option.

    • No. This product is only good for DVD's & CD's. I would not trust placing any other thing, except maybe what-nots on it.

    • No. The shelves are only as deep as a DVD case
      by sweetsunshyne2/20/2012
Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)
    • I would say definitely NOT ! The depth will not allow for a shoe to sit in such a way that it can be easily seen while in a storage space, and you probably could only fit maybe 8 pairs on it (by separating the pair and placing them back to back on the skinny shelf)

    • No,it isn't really deep enough from front to back. You'd probably be betterof with one of the "hang it from the inside of a closet door type of deals. Sorry.

    • I don't think so. The shelves are adjustable, so I don't think the height would be a problem, but the unit itself isn't very deep. The depth of each shelf is about the size of the base of a standing DVD. So, unless you have tiny feet or want to store them sideways, I wouldn't recommend this shelf for shoes.

I wanted to use this cabinet for DVDs, CDs and speakers
    by Peggy 3/29/2013
    • No openings for cords, but since the back is cardboard you could easliy cut a cord hole.
      by PurpleJiff10/15/2014

    • no openings, but it's not that thick of material that you can't make one or more where you want them. I THINK the back is in 2 parts so that might help.
      by elnisi3/25/2014
Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)
    • No, the unit does not have any holes in the back section. How ever the back is made of heavy grade paper board and held in place by small nails. You could easily cut a small hole in the back where ever you desired. Keep in mind that the hole should be as small as possible, as the back of the unit is what gives the unit its strength after assembly.
      by Sapper21/28/2014

    • No. The back has no openings, but you could easily put one in. It is just a thin panel that you nail on the back.

    • No holes in the back for cords but you can always drill out a 1 inch hole in the corner where you putting the speakers at thou

    • No. I had to cut a hole. I use the top shelf for my DVD player and remotes and a 13" analog TV sits on top of it in my craft room. It's easy to simply cut a hole in the back with a utility knife. But remember, it needs that piece on the back to keep the unit stable. Seems to work great for that.

    • It does not have openings but the backing is quite thin and a hole for a cord could easily be made.

    • I am 65 and have some disability. I put my unit together with no problem. the only problem is the weight of the unit in the box I had to have someone bring into the house. instructions are clear and make since, easy to follow. if you have never put a unit together you should not have any problem.

    • Very easy to do. You will just need a Phillips screwdriver and a small hammer to complete the assembly. It took me about 30-40 minuets per unit. Instructions are simple and easy to understand.
