I haven't tried it for french fries, but just looking at the size/distance of the spacing of the blades, I would say it will work for french fries.

I'd say yes, but you're stuck with whatever size comes out. Not adjustable.

Yes, this product does slice french fries. I don't like the thin sliced french fries as much as I like the thick sliced french fries.

This is not ideal for making veggie pasta. It juliennes things either into very tiny matchstick pieces or thicker pieces about French fry size. You need a spiralizer for veggie pasta.

yes it will make the thin slices however you have to get the &quot;hang&quot; of it first or else you may mess up a few before you get it right lol

Does it make thin julienne slices for vegetable pasta?

Yes it will. I just cut some apples for dehydrating, after I cored and peeled the apple I expected it to get mushy while trying to cut it but the sharp blades worked very well on the apple.

I would imagine it would, although Delicious may be a little crumbly.

They would be more like chips than the typical apple slice, but it would cut apples. I think it would be a pain though, I would recommend something else for apples.

Yes, this product does slice apples perfectly. You can use an apple corer first to core the apple, which I think is best, and then use the slicer to create perfectly sweet slices with or without the peeling. I love monterey jack cheese and apples. It is a great combination.

Prep Solutions Multi-Purpose Mandolin Slicer Set makes food preparation so easy and simple. It is made of a sturdy plastic and really sharp blades. There's a handy holder to attach to whatever you are slicing to protect your fingers while using the slicer. Clean up is extremely easy as well because of the materials that seem to just repel the food. It's also so fun to use and it will make it so that you are looking for food to slice. This is a must have for any kitchen!

Makes slicing so simple

This slicer gives you 4 different cutting styles. Thin, thick, cuts like French fries, and cuts like thin strips of carrots you find in restaurant salads. They give you a hand guard where you can hold the tomato or apple etc with and your hands never get close to the blades. There is green rubber on the bottom so it doesn't slip when you are using it, and also a green rubber handle. Changing the blade attachment is the time you have to be careful, I wish they would have had some kind of compartment or something to store the extra cutting piece. It is dishwasher safe, they recommend top rack or hand washing. Seems like a great slicer, just have to be cautious when using it.

I love using a mandolin to slice my carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes and more. I'm so happy this one has a finger guard because I am very klutzy. Loving that it has 4 cutting options: thin and thick julienne and thin and thick slices. I like how all the blades conveniently store underneath

Works great. Very sharp

My favorite thing about this slicer is the way it minces onion when using the finest teeth and thinnest blade. Next, I tried it for au gratin potatoes and used the thinnest slicer. It made it easy to make the casserole pretty, but I think I could have used my regular grater for that. After that, I tried the thickest slicer to make cinnamon apple rings, and unfortunately, it couldn't slice the apple all the way through so the edge of each ring was broken. 

Finally, I was disappointed in the safety hand grip because it was awkward and clunky and didn't hold, so I tossed it aside and just didn't slice the end of the vegetables.

Favorite use: minced onion

This slicer works well enough for what I need. I trip on flat surfaces.
, so the large hand/finger guard is great for me. There are 4 size choices, but I'm sure some people need even more. Also there is not an adjustable angle so you're set with one. But again, it works for well for my uses.

I've wanted one of these gadgets for years!! Finally got one. This tool is useful in food prep, salad prep, or even to prep for dehydration. A great tool, which doesn't take a lot of space and tons of practical uses. For the aspiring chef/home cook this is a must have!! Anyone would like it. I'll just warn that one should watch knuckles and fingertips/nails. I'd also supervise younger kids. Anyway, it's fun to use too!!
