Assembly instructions were excellent. All parts were identified with a sticker, all fasteners were on a blister card and identified. The instructions were referenced to the identifiers, making assembly easy. The instructions had the right amount of detail, not too much, not too little. The foot anchors included are too flimsy to be effective and I bought screw-in heavy duty anchors. I also added an aluminum angle bar across the back, secured with stainless steel U-bolts to stiffen the structure and help it stand up to cross winds. It's a good value, not the sturdiest structure, but for the cost, I'm pleased with it. An electric screwdriver and a 10mm ratcheting box-end wrench helped in assembly, I happened to already have both tools. Crude tools are provided, you'll have to struggle if you use them.

Well I purchased this at my local walmart after seeing it online and they did not have one set up at the store. The box was huge but I had no idea how large it was going to be when set up . It exceeds my expectations by far . It covers my whole patio not just the barbecue ! And it looks three times more expensive than it actually is , lets just hope it stands the test of time and Central Texas weather .

    Excellent Shade for Small Patio

I just purchased this Grill Gazebo for two reasons: to provide shade for my small patio, and to provide an "awning" in front of the 6-foot sliding glass door leading to the small patio. It has completely solved both issues: my home is much cooler when the east sun hits the house, and I can actually use the patio the entire day. Here are two important points: (1) There are no drain holes on the cover, so unless you fix this, water will pool when it rains causing the cover to stretch out and become completely damaged. [I have provided instructions for fixing this problem in the customer question below asking if the cover is water proof.] (2) You don't have to install the shelves if you want to use the Gazebo without a grill and need to walk through it lengthwise; but you'll definitely want to secure it to the ground using the stakes provided for the 2 holes in each foot, or by using screws if standing it on a concrete patio or a wood deck. A strong wind could definitely uplift it if it isn't secured. Finally, I'm giving this Gazebos 5 Stars, BUT WITH THE DISCLAIMER THAT YOU MUST ADD THE DRAINAGE HOLES AND SECURE IT TO THE GROUND, because if you don't, it's 5 Stars only until the first big rain or strong wind gust. Then it's 0 Stars, and you can toss the cover and/or the crumpled frame in the garbage.

    • Yes. It is water-resistant. However it will not protect from slanted driving rain, along the edges. The middle has kept me dry. Water does run off and doesn't puddle like other canopies.

    • It is water resistant but if there is any wind at all, it will not protect an uncovered grill.

    • It will protect from the rain until it fills up with water and tears. It happened the second day I owned it. Spend the extra money for one from Lowes or Home Depot

    • Had a pretty good downpour here last week and it kept my BBQ area dry. So I would have to answer yes.

    • The gazebo is water resistant as long as water doesn't pool when it rains. If it does pool, water might begin to very slowly drip in multiple places, but not quickly enough to prevent the cover from being stretched out and completely damaged. Here's the fix: Wait until the first rain to see where the water pools then, while it's still raining, cut a small hole [half the size of a dime] in each "pool" to drain the water. Then, within a couple of weeks, take the cover off and add grommets to the holes to prevent them from tearing in the future. Home Depot has grommet kits but I don't know about Walmart. Even larger gazebos either don't have enough grommets or they're not in the right places to drain properly, so I always cut holes where the rain pools then finish with grommets.
