Rated 1 out of 5★ by Stephanie31 Faulty product I bought this product and it didn't even stay up a day. The first time I pulled my shower curtain back, the thing fell off the wall. You might want to steer clear of the Mainstays brand and get something more worthwhile. The instructions state that the rod will lock; it never did. 04/18/2011
Rated 1 out of 5★ by BritMB Horrible quality, terrible product. This shower rod does NOT lock as well as the packaging claims. Also claims heavy-duty construction...HA. We installed this in our shower, and within minutes it slid down the wall and fell off-before we'd even put up the curtain. Luckily our tub surround has a lip on top that we are able to set it on...now we just have to be careful when we open the shower curtain so we don't pull it off the top of the shower wall. I definitely would NOT recommend purchasing this product. 12/27/2011
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Teedles Great for the price. I bought this brand and type curtain rod for $4.97 at a Walmart store. It think the one I bought adjusted from about 22 inches up so I don't think it was this size. I bought mine to used for the shower curtain that goes over the bathroom window. I have had it for 15 months and it is just now starting to show a tiny bit of rust in the middle near the plastic ring where the 2 ends come together. For the price I paid I got a prety good deal. I think the previous reviewers that stated that the rod fell just had not tighted it tight enough. My rod has never come down (and I have 3 children who have pull on the curtain as evidenced by the fact that the holes in the curtain get torn but the rod stays up). The only problem I had was that I installed it within a couple of days of painting and it did twiist off a little paint where I installed it tight enough. I think this would be avoided if you waited longer before installing over new paint. I am geting ready to go buy another of these rods to hang a curtain across the doorway leading to my basement. 11/23/2012
