Yes, the Mainstays 9-Piece Nonstick Cookware Set, Polished Aluminum (80132/603DS) can be used on an electric coil stove. Please be sure to cook or boil using low to medium heat only. Since aluminum yields excellent conductivity and delivers even heat distribution, the usage of high heat is not necesary. In fact, the use of high heat can permanently discolor and damage your cookware. Keep the cookware on the burner only during the necessary time for cooking or boiling. Do not overheat empty cookware or allow gas flames to extend up the sides of the cookware and overheat the handles. Always let cookware cool before washing.

Can this be used on an electric coil stove?

Some people prefer to use heavy and durable cookware for camping, while others prefer an economical lighter cookware. Although it is possible to use this cookware on a Coleman stove, it was developed for general use on conventional gas and electric cooktops. The set is made with a lightweight aluminum, so it heats up quickly and evenly, and is light enough for easy transport. However, it may not stand up to rigorous camping conditions.

If you want a more durable - yet light piece to bring with you, Tramontina's lightweight Cast Iron Grill Pan (80131/526DS) or Skillet (80131/542DS) may be a good alternative.

If you decide to purchase the Mainstays 9-Piece Nonstick Polished Aluminum Cookware Set, make sure to follow the USE and CARE instructions on the box, and pay close attention to the information listed below:

I think this would be perfect for a Coleman stove and it is not to thin and not to thick. The pans heat fast.

I have been using this set in our motorhome, on a propane stove, and they work great. I am not sure if the glass lids would be a bit heavy for tent camping, only because of the weight, and the braking issue. They work really well for us in the rv.

in my opinion, I wouldn't suggest using it on a stove unless you can control the flames since it is very thin.

It would be great for camping, unless you plan to use a high flame and hot pan. Aluminum cooks very quickly on lower heat.

I needed a pot and pan set (nothing too fancy) to replace my set from college that was wearing out. This set is fantastic! It looks great, not cheap, and is very simple. I have had it for about a year now and no problems at all. There is hardly any wear on the set. Food comes out just fine when cooking and washing (no scrubbing required). I just gifted these to a friend for Christmas so I would definitely recommend them to others!

Great Set for a Great Price!

I purchased this set for my 28 year nephew who is just starting out in his new home and starting to cook being a bachelor and he loves them so far. I do recommend them for someone just starting out experiencing cooking for the first time. Then upgrade to a better set later on down the line.

My neighbor, and good friend, only had one small saucepan and one 10" skillet which she bought at St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store. I ordered this set for her birthday. She absolutely loves them!!
