Rated 4 out of 5 by We like it I bought this mattress for my three-year-old's new big boy bed. I wasn't expecting much based on the price, but I figured it would do for a 36-lb kid for a while. It comes vacuum-packed and rolled up in a box - very easy to get home. I was a little concerned over the packaging, but once I slit the plastic it bounced right into shape. This mattress has the approval of everyone in the house. Even my 200-lb husband calls it comfortable. I'm realistic about the durability of a hundred-dollar mattress. I don't know how long it would last for an adult, but I think it will work for my son. 04/17/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good & Reasonably Priced I was a little skeptical about buying a mattress that came rolled up in a box. My 13 year old son said it's very comfortable. I would have to agree. Once it was unrolled, it took shape quickly and hasn't bunched up or gotten lumpy. 05/11/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I am very happy with the mattress! I believe ,especially for the price, it surpasses my expectations. I do not have a backache any more when I get up in the morning, for that alone,I would indeed recomend this mattress! 05/13/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect for a little girl i was a little wary because of the price, but this mattress, wa clean, and perfectly fit the bed, and was just high enough for my 6 year old granddaughter. She must have found it comfortable, because she slept late every day, and even took a nap! 05/17/2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Thin mattress with springs you can feel. I didn't care for this mattress, but it was definitely in my target price range. When it arrived, I thought I might have rec'd the wrong product since it was in a small roll. I undid the packaging and it popped out and into shape. The mattress is nice and firm, but you can feel the springs when you lay on it. We had a section of foam, so we put that over the mattress and it fit nicely into the fitted sheet since the mattress is so thin. It will have to do for a year or two, but I wouldn't buy it again. 08/28/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Smelly Cat This is a good value especially if you have a little one that is still prone to accidents at night, good matress for kids for not a long term comittment..... BUT it smells really bad when you first get it, make sure you febreeze the stuffin out of it and then set it outside to air out.... otherwise very happy with it for the price it is a great deal. 07/25/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceeds expectations! I purchased this along with another mattress for a set of bunk beds for my 6 and 3 year olds. I was a little alarmed by the packaging at first, you wouldn't think it would fit into a box the size of a pack n play - but you'd be surprised! It comes rolled and tightly vacuum sealed and slowly takes shape upon opening. It was very clean and I found it pretty comfortable, as did my kids. I didn't expect so much judging by the price, but figured if I didn't care for it, I'd return it for something else. We are pretty happy with this so far! 02/24/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A worthy value for the money - for short term use I am 175lbs. I was looking for a temporary mattress, for a period of 1.5 to 2 years. And I will be disposing that after this period. Hence, I was looking for a cheap but good mattress that will last for around 2 years in a good shape. And I found this after a long search. This looked very good & I have purchased this based on other user reviews. This mattress is worth a buy for a short period like 2 to 3 years. Not sure, if it will last more than that. The company warranty is for 1 year. But for those looking for a very good mattress for a long term, can look for something else. This is also a good choice for your guest rooms. The mattress is awesomely packed in a box, that can very well fit into the trunk of any sedan. The box also has wheels-so, you don't need to depend on someone to move it from your parking lot to your home. Its vaccuum compressed inside the box - which gains full shape, once it is unpacked. It has coil springs - which provide a firm support for those who prefer support. But, I don't think, Kids will prefer this as they want the mattress to be soft rather than firm. So, for people with back pain or for those who are preferring a supportive mattress, this is a gud choice. To be short, it will be an ideal choice for those who looks for a temporary mattress / guest bedroom mattress, at a much lesser price without compromising quality. 01/16/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by no frills metal spring mattress Got the mattress for the top of a bunk bed. I ended up getting a 2" foam topper because my daughter was envying the softer mattress we got for the bottom bunk. This is a basic spring mattress, with the sleeper likely noticing firmness due to the lack of additional padding. Fit the top bunk great! 12/10/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth the Hundred Bucks After just moving to a new town, I needed an inexpensive mattress quick. This fit the bill. A bit firm, but it's how I prefer a mattress anyway, Came to my local store in rolled in a box, fit in the back seat of my roommates compact, got it home, cut it free, and it set right up. no fuss. Been sleeping on it for 2 weeks now. If you prefer a softer mattress buy a mattress pad and you'll be fine. 10/17/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by A comfortable mattress considering it has springs inside it and is only 6" thick. It does not use a box spring so be careful what bed you use it on; it should be made for this type of mattress. I put a folded comforter and an eggshell foam on top of it so my fitted sheet would be tight enough since most sheets now are made to take up to 15" deep. It was pretty cool to watch it come to life after we took it out of the box and let it unroll from the vacuum pack. 06/19/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good mattress, perfect for a child. Mattress came 'deflated' (like those vacuum packed sweater bags) and when I cut open the plastic it 'inflated' and made neat popping noises as the springs opened up. Decent mattress for a child, maybe would get flat after long term use by adult. You cannot rotate the mattress though. On the bottom, there is a large section of thin material just covering the springs, so you can't turn it over to make wear and tear more even. It suited our purpose of a step up bed for our 4 year old. My 5 kids occasionally jump on it and it hasn't ripped or broke or anything. Looks like it will last as long as I need it. (Which I plan to be years) 05/01/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by 6" coil mattress The mattress is very firm and needed a foam topper other than that it feels great...works best with a captains bed 10/28/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I bought this for my 3 yr olds first big boy bed and figured for the price it would work for awhile. It is super comfy and no complaints....dont be offput by the weird packaging 07/29/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value! I replaced foam bunk bed mattresses with this and it worked wonderfully. The kids are much more comfortable and it didn't break the bank! Even for an adult, these mattresses worked well, although I am not sure I'd recommend them for extensive use by teens or adults. The packaging was especially great, since it made them very easy to transport rolled up and vacuum-packed in boxes with wheels that would even fit into the backseat of most cars! Highly recommended! 10/20/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I almost prefer this mattress to mine. I had read the reviews before I bought it about how is came rolled up and yet it was still a great mattress. I have to say it was fun opening the mattress. I comes vacumned sealed and pops right up when opened. My girls sleep really good on them. And when I climb into bed with them I am very comfortable. These matresses fit the bunk beds perfectly. 06/28/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Interesting ... I got this with the bedding set great value!! The interesting part was the way it was packaged, vacuum sealed and in a box that would fit in any trunk and had wheels on it and you just open it, roll it out, break the seal and Voila!!! its a matress!!! Never seen a matress packaged that way and its pretty comfortable too. 10/17/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by wow! Total surprise! I couldn't believe a mattress could come in this package. Good thing I read the reviews first! I would have thought they gave me the wrong thing. And the kids love them. got 2 for a bunk bed and they say they are super comfortable. 09/24/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by HORRIBLE MATTRESS! NO EXAGGERATION!! After reading nearly every review for this mattress, I thought surely with that many positive reviews, that it had to be at least an okay mattress. I was fine with "okay" because of the low cost. I ordered the mattress & upon receiving it had no problem with smell or packaging as others have mentioned. After 2 nights of sleeping (balancing) on a slope with springs that felt like they were out to get me, I quickly decided that no one; man, woman, child, dog or otherwise would be sleeping on this mattress in my home. It was AWEFUL!! The only good thing about this purchase was that I was able to return it to my local Walmart. To those of you who bought this for a child or guest room, please sleep on it for a couple of nights & I promise you will not be so quick to write a good review. I am not someone that leaves reviews often, but I do read them. Hopefully this will save others from the headache that I went through. 09/17/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A nice comfy mattress that came in the mail in 2 days:) 08/24/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than Expected! This mattress came in a tightly compressed box on wheels. I must say at first, I was wondering had I made a good choice with my purchase, but once the box was opened; I was amazed at how the mattress inflated & stood firm into its position. This is a great mattress for kids. I am pleased with it & my 7yr daughter is enjoying it! 07/02/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great mattress for a child's bed I'm not a fan of the 'bunk bed' mattresses (foam or cotton/polyester fill) so when I saw the twin coil mattress for only a few dollars more, I didn't hesitate to purchase it. When you unpack it and lay it on your bed, be sure to step back after you start cutting the plastic cover off. The mattress is shrink wrapped and rolled up for packaging/shipping and it's only about 2" thick. Once you let air in, the mattress expands to 6" and makes A LOT of noise during the process. 06/04/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by a little smelly we bought two of these for our daughters' new bunk beds. they fit the beds great and seem to be comfy as both of our daughters have slept on them and even my husband took a nap on one after opening it to "try it out". my husband was not at all sure these would be comfortable after opening them. they are flat and rolled into the box, but as soon as you open the plastic they unroll quickly. they look very nice. the only complaint we have is that they smell. maybe it's because we have two and our daughters room is a little small, but the "new" smell is a little overwhelming. we let them air for a day with the window open and it's still pretty strong in their room. i would say to give them a couple days to air out before you use them. other then that, we like them a lot! 06/03/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by This mattress SMELLS! This thing is going back to the store. It has a horrible musty odor. I just don't trust it for my three year old. Sam's has an awesome twin mattress for the same price that's a lot sturdier and low odor. 05/12/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great kids bed! While it is a little firm for my taste, and cannot support TOO much weight on the sides, like if you sit on the edge it collapses... It is a very nice product, I can lie on the bed with my son and I do not feel anything underneath it. I weigh 194 pounds, so I am not a stick figure... And I have not had any issue reading my son his books at night and cuddling. 02/27/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Has quality I paid slightly more for this mattress than a core mattress. This mattress holds well for my 60 lbs son. I am glad we picked this mattress since the core mattress that we purchased for our 7 yrs old isn't holding to our expectations. It would be wise to puchase 2 mattresses of this quality for the bunk bed and pay a little bit more for long term use. 01/02/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great mattress for the price This mattress is very comfortable and affordable. 11/14/2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not comfortable We got this mattress for our 3 year old when she moved to a 'big girl' bed. It is adequate for her at this time but we don't plan on her using it as she gets bigger/heavier. The springs in the mattress are very noticeable when laying on it, more-so the heavier you are. I added a foam top on it to make it more comfortable. 11/06/2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good for bunk beds I bought two of these for my 4 and 2 year olds bunk bed and they are comfortable enough and perfect height for them. They are firm and the bad thing about them was the smell, they were very musty and they felt damp when I first opened them it's been over three weeks and the smell is better but not completely gone yet. Other then that they are nice and I dont regret buying them. 08/23/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 Comfortable Twin Mattress More than enough for my 4 yr old to last him years. I tried the bed after I put it together and it was comfortable enough for me, maybe not night after night but then again, im 220lbs and not 50lbs like my kid. 08/18/2011
