    Deceiving Looks nice and even thou the price is kind of high,it seemed to be a good purchase.....not for long.I had to take it to the store and exchange it for another one.....which by no surprise had the same problem with the pedal.If you keep the model number which starts with Va;call the 1800 number attached to the inside of the top;they will gladly send you a new one.....the pedal have been done differently,NO Plastic,holds it together.Ah!The model number is at the bottom of the box.Good Shopping! 03/08/2009
    So Far So Good Bought this trash can at the store despite having read mixed reviews online. So far it is working well. Mind you, I don't have kids so it isn't getting a lot of hard wear and tear. I agree with other users that the label is a pain to get off the front. I had to use Goo Gone and then wipe it down with stainless steel cleaner but now it looks great. The one I bought at the store has a metal rod connecting the lid to the pedal. I would recommend getting it from the store as it seems it would dent easily in shipment. 01/03/2010
    This can works great! I was looking for a stainless steel trash can for my kitchen and this one was at least fifty dollars less than most stores. I read the other reviews online and decided to take my chances. I am glad that I did! I have had this can for about a month now and have had no problems whatsoever. I checked out the foot pedal before I purchased the can and saw that it was made of chrome. There is a rubber circle in the inner plastic can that you can tuck the trash bag into and it will stay in place. So far I have never had the trash bag fall into the can, and I have stuffed this can full. The sticker on the front of the can came off in one piece without any problem, i just peeled it off slowly. So far no rust problems. I have used stainless steel wipes to wipe down the exterior and they work well! Will be purchasing a second one to use for recyclables, and would highly recommend this product! 12/10/2009
    save your money With cost in mind and stainless steel finish in appearance we chose this can. The design of the rod linkage is it's flaw. Something used as often as a kitchen trash can needs a metal/durable rod link instead of the cheap piece of plastic. There are no replacement parts period. Now we're out $$ and have to add that amount to the cost of the replacement, not this brand of course. 03/07/2009
