I am surprised at how many people are saying that it's hard to put together. I have absolutely no mechanical/engineering skill whatsoever and I got this put together in about 5 minutes. The two issues I think people are having is that it clearly states on the instructions to put the side part on a flat surface and attach the baskets to that. Do NOT try to attach the baskets to both sides at once. Do one side (lying flat# and then the other. For the people saying they have to use twist ties, I'm not sure what they're doing but if you do it right, they baskets stay on. They are not so flimsy that you will have to use duct tape. There is a bar on the big piece that has to flip up over the bar on the basket. Once you do that, it is very sturdy. Yes, attaching 4 baskets to one side only is a little frustrating, as the baskets fall down. BUT, they don't fall OFF, because they are connected. They just fall to the side like dominoes, one on top of the other. Once they are all on, you connect the other side. It was so easy. These reviews are perplexing to me. Getting the casters in was a different story. They are very difficult to get in. Like another reviewer said, I tried using a hammer. That didn't work. What worked finally was bracing one hand on the top #with it still lying flat on top of my dryer# and using that hand to pull the top towards the caster and just pushing as hard as I could with my other hand on the caster. #So you're pulling with one arm and pushing with the other) It hurts your hand, but eventually, if you push hard enough, they pop in. For the price, it is a seriously good deal. And don't let the reviews scare you off. If you read the directions and follow them, it is really not difficult to put together.

I have a very narrow laundry hall, so getting the "standard size" cart was out of the question. Did my homework, read the reviews and was scared off. But after looking and looking for a cart to fit the space I had to work with, I decided on this one. When I first started assembling it, I had to use twist ties to hold it together. Then duct tape. I was ready to just have the husband weld the thing together for me when I noticed I had goofed by just scanning the instructions. I forgot to pull the frame wire up and over the center wire on the baskets and make sure the basket corners were on the inside of the frame (I know, DUH). Got a heavy butter knife to pry the frame out enough to slide over the basket wire and voila! Right now the top basket is holding 2 gallons of bleach. Second basket is holding a 100-oz detergent bottle and a 64-oz bottle of fabric softener. Third basket is holding a 64-oz bottle of ammonia and 2 bottles of Holloway House. Bottom basket is holding two 100-oz bottles of detergent and a 64-ounce bottle of fabric softener. Everything but the bleach had to be stored on their sides; but if you make sure your lids are on tight, no problem. It is wobbly if you pull it on carpet, but on vinyl flooring, it's sturdy. So far, I'm really pleased with my purchase. Didn't plan on pulling it around much anyway. I'll post a picture so you can see it - only don't look at the surrounding mess, I'm tearing up to have old flooring replaced. ;)

I purchased this based on the specifications to go under a cabinet area. The specifications are incorrect. The description says it is 8 x 18 x 26. Once put together, the cart measures 10 x 15 x 33. Even without the casters, it is too tall and doesn't fit in the space I want to put it. If you are purchasing something like this, measure it in the store before you spend your money. If it had been the size advertised, the item would work fine and I would give it a better rating.

    • A. It is easy to put together though depending on how bad you find your arthiritis, would depend on if you can pull the sides over to lock them. I do not think you will have a problem. Enjoy your new year!

    • A. Not at all easy to put together ...however if you use zip ties or twisty ties those would work. As far as sturdiness depends on what your going to use it for.

    • A. I too have arthritis and it was simple for me to assemble. It is sturdy enough for my purpose, which is storing arts and crafts supplies in. I hope this helps! :)

    • A. No is absolutely horrible. It does not stay together. Not study enough for anything. Not even for your kittens to land on or even a stuff animal to sit on. It is not easy to put together at all. I almost threw it across the floor out of sheer frustration and that is a rarity.

    • A. NO...It's very difficult because as you hook one side on, the other comes off. I don't have arthritis and this was a nightmare!

    • A. Incredibly hard to put together and I don't have any issues. Sorry you do. I just put mine together so I am not sure how it will work. I am not sure I am even going to keep it. It is smaller than one thinks from the picture.

    • A. Conceptually, it is easy. But the reality is that it is not easy to put together. The pins that hold the shelf in place are not long enough and keep falling out of place. I am returning mine tomorrow. Hope this helps!

    • A. Because you have arthritis, I would recommend having someone else put it together. It does require some manipulation of the metal racks and at times it wasn't the easiest.
