    Good Board for the $

I bought this ironing board based on the recommendations. Everyone seems to be right. For the $, it is the best buy. However, before I left the store I noticed the "waffling" on the "board" (where you put your clothes to press). To be on the safe side, I purchased an extra padded ironing board cover and I'm glad I did. NO regrets. I served in the U.S. Marine Corps so there is a right way, a wrong way and THE Marine Corps way to iron. I told the store manager I was taking this board home and I intended on abusing it to see if it would withstand Marine Corps punishment. It certainly does. I would highly recommend this ironing board .... but do yourself a favor: Put a good ironing board cover on it or you'll hate it!!

Expecting less quality, but I was surprised. The table feels strong and durable.

When I went looking for an ironing board, I just went looking for a very basic, inexpensive (but not flimsy) ironing board. This one got good reviews, so I ordered it to be sure I got the right one, and indeed it has lived up to my expectations. My only complaint is that it doesn't fold as small as I would like. Initially it came folded smaller than it actually folds up once you open it up out of the packaging, and that was a disappointment, but other than that, it does exactly what it is supposed to. It comes to a good height, and is nice and sturdy. I would definitely recommend this ironing board to anyone who is looking for just a basic ironing board to meet basic ironing needs.

    • A. actually you just pull up the legs, when I first got it I had it laying flat on the board side & just pulled up the legs no problem. I hope this will help a little.

    • A. I turned mine upside down and slide the legs together. I'm a widow and had absolutely NO problem. Slide like a charm. Did you happen to put the handle down? I can't remember if I did that or not, but again .... I had no problem opening it or retracting it. Good luck!

    • A. You need to release the legs between the black clamps. It is pretty tight and you worry you might break something, but it loosens up after a few uses.

    • A. There is a small black plastic holder for the legs on the bottom of the ironing board that the legs snap into. It takes a little bit of muscle to get them out, but pull hard and it snaps out and in. Hopes this helps.

    • A. You have to pull on the leg near the black plastic holder thing ...... To bad it does not have a button and can just pop open

    • A. 1st start by turning the ironing board around until the legs are facing you. 2nd, notice the black craddle clip towards the bottom(?), simply pull the leg towards you until it pops out of the clip/holder. 3rd, notice the little metal handle on the top of the same side(?) push it gently, this releases the lock and allow the legs to open up.

    • A. Pull the legs out. If it doesn't open then it's broken. Mine just opened on it's own when I took it out of the box.
