A Steal for $19! i went to the store to buy this product thinking they only had that alder color...and it was my luck that they had black. they also had white. anyway i love this bookcase, to who ever said it was week... that means they didn't put up the backboard correctly. Mine was week too till i nailed in the board. But the way, i kinda expected the back board to not look as good as the wood from the rest of the shelf, so i wrapped it in fabric. (just in case your wondering, i bought 1 yard by 1 yard of fabric, when i got home i cut it down to what i needed, then taped it to the board to temporarily stay in place, then i nailed the board to the rest of the bookcase, thus holding the fabric in place) 07/30/2009
Great product This review is in response to the person who said their shelf collapsed under 5lbs of weight. I've had my shelf for several years and it's held a ton of stuff, from small paperback books, to novels and even thick, heavy text books while I was in college. I've never had a single problem with this shelf and I highly recommend it for small storage. It's an excellent buy for the price. 07/24/2009
excellent product I brought it home and put it together for extra storage in my galley kitchen. It worked very well, but I used the white shelf. You have to take your time and follow the directions. It was easy to put together for me, but if you will need a second person to help hold things stable while attaching some parts. It you use the proper tools and follow the directions it will come together fine and it will be very sturdy as well. 07/16/2009
A nice bookshelf to own I gave this bookshelf 5 stars, because for the cost of it ($20), the easiness to put it together, and needing another bookshelf, it's a no-brainer.Small enough to fit most places and fits normal sized books. If it is too tall (e.g. - a music book), it won't fit with all three shelves in. 09/23/2009
