    • I think you could stack them at least 2 or 3, depending on how convenient it is to unstack them to get to what you have inside.

    • How high you stack them depends on how much weight you have inside the boxes. If you pack them heavy, the bottoms can begin to sag a bit. This is not a problem if the box is directly on the shelf or on top of another solid, flat item. And it's not a problem if the boxes have very lightweight items inside such as bows, silk flowers, hats, etc. If the upper boxes are carrying a light load, you can stack them pretty high as long as they're against a wall. But if you pack them heavy, with CD's, photos, stacks of paper, etc., then the soft-ish bottom of the upper boxes may sag into the soft-ish tops of the lower boxes. They won't crush totally flat, but too much weight on top will make them lose their shape a bit which affects appearance and how well the lid fits.

    • They're strong enough that you can sit one on top of another without it caving in ... how high you ask ... that depends on how much space you have ... if you want measurements, you'll have to speak with a Wal-mart Rep.

    • i would not stack them. they are good for storage, but with the weight of their contents, the sides would collapse if you stacked them. i built shelves in my closed and store them there side-by-side.
