The skewers are solid and have a great weight.
They are strong and allowed me to load them up with green pepper, red onion, and pork. The length is good, fits inside pan and the dudes will create a little bridge for juices to cool.
The circle at one end makes loading the skewer easy.
After the kabobs came off the grill, they did not hold beat long, which made it easy to eat from.
Excited to have these in our backyard grill tool belt!

The Mainstays metal 15 inch BBQ skewers are a great addition to our collection of BBQ tools. We use to utilize wooden skewers for shish kabobs, but after trying out these metal skewers, we realize they are so much more durable and eco-friendly. We will use them often in the future. There is no need to pre-soak the sticks prior to use, unlike when wooden skewers are used. I like that the skewer is extra long and can hold a generous portion of meat and vegetables. These skewers easily fit on my standard charcoal grill. There is a nonstick coating on the skewer so meat and veggies slide off easily after grilling. There is no fear of soft cooked vegetables falling apart when I am trying to remove them from the stick. I do wish that the package came with more than 4 skewers at a time. I feel like this would accommodate the appropriate amount of food if you were grilling a meal for a smaller family, but if you wanted to use these for a party you would have to remove and re-skewer over and over which is a bit impractical. Or alternatively you would have to buy quite a few more packs of these skewers.

Great BBQ tool

My son was excited about receiving the skewers as he always cooks on our big barbecue pit when he comes to visit. He cooked two whole chickens. He likes to use skewers so he can turn the chicken easily and also to lift it out when it is finished cooking. Using the skewers keeps from pulling the meat away and falling apart. The skewers are sturdy and have a good coating on them. This coating makes them easy to clean and should protect them from rusting. This was a set of four skewers and since they are plenty long, he was able to cook both chickens using two skewers in each chicken. They slid right out of the chickens once they were on the tray and wiped clean. He has a big family so this will help when we are cooking for everyone. He usually cooks a variety of meats and is looking forward to cooking pork kabobs with fruit and veggies.

Nothing better than grilled food

These skewers worked great for making chicken Shish Kabobs. I wasn't aware until I took them out of the package that they have a non stick coating on them. This makes sliding your choppped veggies and whatever meat you use go on like a breeze. I have other skewers that are not non stick and are somewhat thicker metal than these and I have a hard time not getting the vegetables to not break apart. I had no problems wih these. Also taking your grilled food off the sekwers was just as easy. No lost food in the grill!

Just the perfect size skewers

These are surprisingly long skewers they are 15 inches long and I was surprised when they arrived because I had know Idea they were this long. So they will certainly hold a lot of veggies and meat for grilling. I intend on using them for making some Korean BBQ beef strips with some bell pepper pineapple and onion before the summer is officially over. So if you have a small BBQ I don't know if these will fit on your BBQ and fit inside the lid so you might want to check the size of your BBQ to make sure they will fit. I recommend these to anyone who want to make skewers for grilling on the BBQ.

Extra Long Size

These Mainstays 15-inch BBQ Skewers in a package of four that I got from the Spark Reviewer program, are the perfect size for shish kabobs for a meal for two people, or a main dish for four. I cut chicken and a sweet red pepper into chunks, then put them and some cherry tomatoes into a container with a teriyaki sauce and marinaded them together for a couple hours. I threaded them alternately onto the skewers and grilled them. I used a heat resistant glove to turn them on the grill, but you could use tongs. They turned out awesome. I wish I'd thought to put chunked onion and pineapple on as well. These make a nice alternative way to serve to the usual grilled meat.

Easy Grilled Meal

Just the right size for grilling a variety of foods. Durable, easy to clean, and food didn't stick. We won't use wooden one ever again. My husband wants me to order him more!

Easy to use and clean

Mainstays 15 BBQ Skewers, 4 Count are a real nice length and size. They can be used in a number of ways. You don't always have to use them in a Barbecue. They can also be used in a regular oven with a slotted pan underneath or in a toaster oven.

I set up mine to use in my oven with Elk meat and tomatoes and rather than get out my ribbed slotted pan, I just set it on a 9" square baking pan so the grease could drop down into it.

I'm going to experiment with all kinds of vegetables with different kinds of meats as I think all except small clams would work real well. I'm also going to try using some fruits as well as they would taste perfect. You can experiment using your own ideas and favorite foods.

These was up really nice too and with the pointed ends, will remain sharp for putting all the food on. These are nice and smooth with no uneven ridges or spots.

Great Skewers

I was a bit upset with the description of this product, as it was misleading. It should stand corrected that this is a four pack of fifteen inch long skewers, as opposed to what I thought I was getting which was four packs of fifteen skewers for a total of 60 skewers. After receiving this product, I was a bit disappoint with the count of usable skewers. I personally would need more skewers to be able to serve my family, of more than four people, a single skewered meat for a meal. I feel like this product should at least be package in a set of eight skewers. Luckily the cost of a single package is reasonable, so purchasing multiple packages should not be a big issue. Other than the amount in a single package, I do like the long length of the skewers. The length allows me to get more meat and more veggies on the skewer and well and thicker chunks of food. Next, I found that the circular end of the skewers made it easier for me to grab them off the grill with an oven mitt. Finally, I liked the fact that these were metal, as opposed to my normal disposable bamboo skewers that I use. With these, I don't have to worry about the bamboo burning on the grill. The one thing I do recommend -as a must- is to allow the skewers to cool down prior to serving. The hot metal will burn your fingers if you don't allow it to cool off prior to picking them up to eat from. Also, be careful of eating marshmallows directly off the end right out of the fire.

Nice for the Price

Mainstays 15 BBQ Skewers, 4 Count are a wonderful addition to our BBQ. They're non-stick surface assist with the whole process. Great for chicken, shrimp, beef and fruit.... Durable and sturdy. Simple!!! Will recommend to others.

Let's party!!!!

DON'T BUY PLEASE! The length and size are great. Super sharp end for spearing food easily. HOWEVER!! The non-stick coating started to flake off after just a couple of uses and washes. NOT heavy use. I'm concerned that this is toxic and unsafe - little black flakes are coming off on the food. Since I've only used them a few times but have owned them past the 90-day return window, Walmart won't take them back. For a company that makes such huge profits, I wish they would have a littttle more pride in their products. At least try to not sell items that will poison people. Oh well, guess I'll go try to sand the non-stick coating off these skewers. Thanks Walmart. Got what I paid for.
