I bought this pan on a whim. Usually buy high quality pans that cost $100 or more. Long-time cook. Saw this skillet in Walmart for under $10 and decided to give it a try because it's PTFE- and PFOA-free. Been using it for a couple of months now, and Wow! 1) Really is non-stick 2) Cleans up so easily 3) Blue color is pretty and handle is sturdy and comfortable 4) Lightweight and easy to handle 5) Cooks evenly - eggs, sauteed veggies, bacon and sausages, all turn out great 6) Sits flat on my stove and hasn't warped - because it's light it heats quickly and I rarely need to turn the heat up past medium All in all, a great little skillet at an amazing price.

I decided to try a ceramic pan instead of the teflon pans I have always used in the past. The pan is a little thinner than most teflon coated aluminum pans so I was a bit worried that it might heat unevenly or overheat. I use it on gas burners and have not had either problem, in fact, using the burner on high does not seem to be any different than other pans I have used. I cook everything in this pan including rice and pastas (with a glass lid). There is no stick and it is very easy to clean, and the bottom has a nice gripping surface. I would be willing to pay a little more for a fitted lid but unfortunately it does not come with one. It seems like pans do not come with lids anymore. I am very pleased with this inexpensive pan and plan to buy another one.

I use it to cook salmon. I steam it in the pan. I wish it had a lid, but that was my only complaint. I was amazed at the price. Alot less messy than my other pans and definately easier to clean.Works for me!

    • No. It would be too abrasive on ceramic coating.

    • Not recommended! But to date, I haven't had anything stick so badly that I thought comet would be needed! Warm soapy water is all that is needed with a soft sponge!

    • Use only non-abrasive materials to clean it. It wipes clean with soft paper towel then hand wash with a sponge and good dish soap. No need to scrub.

    • I wouldn't and it's not necessary. It's so easy to clean with plain dishwashing soap and water.

    • I wouldn't, instead use something like soft scrub.

    • I would not recommend it. It's likely to scratch the ceramic finish.

    • NO and you won't need to if you follow the dirrections.

    • I wouldn't because you might scratch it. I haven't need any type of abrasive cleaner and mine still looks great. If yours is stained, you might try a paste of baking soda and water, let it sit in the pan for a while and then clean with a non-scratch scrub sponge.

    • This pan is especially good for things that stick to other pans - think eggs, pancakes, etc. It holds up very well and i have not found anything yet that will not be cooked evenly and wonderfully on this pan.

    • I guess it depends on what you mean by anything. I purchased it to make omelets in it, but used it for sausage, bacon, quesadillas, pan frying chicken strips, sauteing vegetables, etc...

    • I wouldn't use mine to stir-fry at very high heat, but otherwise it's pretty versatile.

    • I have tried a wide variety...even frozen burgers. The answer is Yes. Instructions warn against high heat, but high heat should be avoided for health reasons anyway.

    • no, i think it's rated under 375. i think it's stated under the label. you'd have to peel it back to read it. When nobody in the store is looking. lol.

    • No. On the back of the label that is stuck to the center of the pan it says "Caution. Handle is designed to be heat resistant up to 350 degrees. Do not use under broiler as broiler temperatures exceed 500 degrees." A little lower on the label it says "Dishwasher safe. Wash before first use. Do not use abrasive sponges when cleaning. Do not over heat pan when empty. Use nylon or wooden utensils when cooking." Hope this helps.

    • Hi, I responded to your question yesterday and have some actual information for you. I was breaking down the box from the 12 piece set made out of the same material and this was on the "bottom" of the box-I saw it completely by accident: Cookware: Bakelite handle is designed to be heat resistant up to 350F Silicone Handle for mini omelet pan is designed to be heat resistant up to 400F Do not use under broiler as broiler temperatures exceed 500F Kitchen utensils: Heat resistant up to 410F Hope this is helpful.

    • Sorry, this is not really an answer but here goes. I bought the 10 piece set and there is use and care sheet in it. The only thing it says is that the coating and pan can withstand temperatures up to 800 degrees but that it is best to not keep the heat higher than necessary for long periods of time (this sounds like on the stove, not in the oven use). It does says that if you have any questions to contact customer care on walmart.com
