So-So for the money Got this for xmas, 09'. Hook up was very easy,but you do need a/v inputs on your t.v. or you'll have to buy a rf box. Vcr worked fine. Disc player door was very noisy [as if broken] and would not read any of my dvds, [all store bought] and would not play. We brought it back and got another one to try. This one works much better with no noise coming from dvd door when opening or closing. It has played any disc I put in, but the sound of people's voices are very muffled, While background noise or music is extremely loud. I tried adjusting the sound as the menu suggests but got nowhere. All in all I liked vhs tapes alot better. Good Luck. 01/04/2010
