Rated 5 out of 5 by bayuvar A VERY GOOD PRODUCT FOR LITTLE MONEY The Magellan GPS was not easy to set up and it took a long time to download and install all the upgrades. There were no instructions.I wish to express my thanks to the Online customer service department; they did a great job with a follow up phone call and then shipped the GPS via express. 08/29/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by nobody83687 I bought this unit because of the price, plus it has a traffic advisor feature (where service is available) and lifetime map upgrades. I subsequently found the same unit (brand new, not refurbished) for $20 more on sale at another store. Oh well. I have an older Magellan that I really like, but it's old enough that they no longer offer map upgrades for it. I haven't had a chance to use the new unit very much, but so far, so good. The only glitch was registering it with Magellan so I could download the map updates. I had a terrible time with Magellan's online registration process. For some reason, my primary PC and Magellan's site just wouldn't talk to each other. I ended up using another PC and finally got registered and was able to download all of the available map updates. One feature of this unit that's really helpful is the internal battery. They claim this unit will run for two hours on battery, so you can use it as a hand held. Kinda handy for walking around areas that you're not familiar with and don't have a paper map. 08/28/2012
