Very attractive, but VERY uncomfortable This is a very attractive futon, and is an awesome lounger, as long as you are skinny. When it's in the lounger position it's quite comfortable as long as you are sitting to one side, the middle bar is a killer. I slept on this futon for one night, waiting on my bed to be delivered to my new apt and I got bruises on my elbow and the back of my leg where the bars poked through. Also when it's up in the couch position I don't like that the base sticks out so far. You couldn't have this in the middle of the room. Other than how uncomfortable it is, it's great. The "mahogany" is a beautiful chocolate brown. 05/12/2009
Simple, sleek and a space saver. I was hoping for a little bigger, (its about the size of a twin) but a perfect fit for anyone looking for an affordable, aesthetically pleasing, functional piece. If you want bigger, spring for the manhattan lounger, it is a full size bed. 10/25/2008
Not a comfortable futon This product looks great and can go in several positions, but it just doesn't feel great at all. Two minutes sitting on this futun feels like eternity because it is so uncomfortable. You can feel the steel bars against your body. I am very disappointed because the other reviews were very positive for this piece of furniture. Now, I'm going to have to bring it back. 09/21/2008
Extremely versatile futon/lounger Remodeled my daughter's room for her 13th bday and I got this futon in chocolate to go in her room. We both LOVE it. She had a friend sleepover who is 13 but is about 5'10 and she said it was comfortable, however I did put a foam mattress topper cushion on it before she slept on it because you can feel the metal bar if you lay directly over it. That's the only reason I did not give it five stars. My daughter has slept on it several times when she didn't feel like cleaning off her bed with no problem and she finds it comfortable. My daughter and I love putting it in the lounger position and studying together, doing homework or watching a movie together. The click-clack is so easy that she can convert it from bed, to sofa, to lounger all by herserlf! It was money well spent! 11/10/2009
