This MTD Deck Mower Complete 2-Piece Blade Set is an affordable and easy way to replace the blades on your MTD lawnmower. These Mower Deck Blades fit all MTD brands built in 1997 and after. The star center hole makes it simple to take off the old blade and put on the new one. Choose between two sizes: 38'' or 42''. These Lawnmower Blades replace single 942-0616A blades on Yard Man, Yard Machines, Troy Bilt, Huskee, Bolens and other MTD brands.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Readerinstruction After I received the blades, I removed the old ones only to find only one of new ones was slightly longer. (Approx. 1/8 of an inch) and had to grind it down as it would hit the mower deck. They were alittle difficult to seat on the "star" on the mower deck as it was worn some so I filed the star hole on the blade too and the worked ok. Perhaps that could be taken under consideration and the hole be just slighlty larger because as with an older mower, the "star" on the decks do wear and becomes silighlty distorted. 06/13/2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by robo1957 How to ship package Over all I have no issues with the item. But I do have an issue with the way it was packaged. Someone need to improve this cause it got to be costing you money. Which means it costing me more money to have it shipped to me. My package came on time lucky with out and damage. Because the box they put it in was at least five times the size of the 18" blades there was no padding to secure the blades from bouncing around in the box. You could see where the blades were ripping the box from the inside. If they broke thru I would of got a empty box. Need to look into the shipping area to come up with a better way to ship the items. 10/28/2012
