Easy to install This part should be added to the bike luggage carrier package. I have a Schwinn Link Bike and had to wait for a week before I could use the carrier because there were no place to bolt bike to. Loving it now. (: 02/20/2012
M-Wavw Seat clamp solves rack problem I wanted to mount a rear rack on my hard tail mountain bike but there was no attach point at proper height on the seat tube. Anything that I could devise would crimp the seat riser making rapid removal impossible.This seat clamp has the threaded attach points built right into it and has solved the moutning problem while still allowing me to quickly remove/replace the seat when I lock the bike in public places.This product required only minor mechanical klnowledge and tools to install. The only change that I made was to remove its seat lock bolt and replace it with the lever clamp that I removed from the old seat clamp. This allowed me to retain the quick seat release option while still attaching my rear rack.I hand make my own Stainless Steel bicycle pack racks, and packs, for each back country bike that I build for myself or friends. This product will now be used on most of them.I overcame the rear rack problem - wooo ha ha ha haaaaa - now, to solve the front suspension rack problem and own the trails!Perhaps we shall meet on the Montana Continental Divide wilderness trails! Just what I needed! I purchased a Mongoose Deception 29er mountain bike and wanted to add a rear rack. To my shagrin the bike did not come with the pre-drilled holes on the frame. I saw this lil dohickey and tada! It goes easily and firmly on the seat post and the rack rails went in perfectly. Good stuff. 03/20/2012
