I bought this used 2000 Ford Windstar dirt cheap but excellent condition except his power steering pump was shot. I am not a mechanic and got quotes of $250 plus parts. I didn't have the money and knew I had to do something. I couldn't steer the van without fluid. I put in some basic power steering fluid which lasted about 3 days and then you couldn't steer it anymore. I remembered this Lucas Power Steering fluid on the shelf next to the cheap stuff I bought, but it was like 4 times as much at $10. I decided to go back and get it. What did I have to loose, either way I was going to have to replace the power steering pump. So I put it in the resivor container for power steering. Got in the van and started it. Right away it sounded better. I put more in and topped it off. I drove home and by the time I got home it was like a brand new power steering pump. No Problems. It's been 2 weeks now and it still works great. I am sold on Lucas Products...

2004 Volvo C70 with a bit over 60K miles on it at the time. Was camping in the Lake Tahoe mountains when my power steering went out big time.. Horrible screeching noise and a terrible leak.. I was stupid and just bought more fluid to fill, which was really expensive for the Volvo.. Just leaked out like water... So in Reno I bought this Lucas stop leak... I used a Turkey Baster to pull out all the regular fluid and filled it with a couple of bottles of Lucas.. Well folks it has been over a year and a half and I just topped it up today for the first time.. No noise, no leak no problems... I was shocked when I saw it was low today.. I haven't seen a leak in over a year and a half.. Saved me a ton of CASH I figured was going to be spent on a new power steering. Today 84k miles on the car.

The input shaft on my steering gearbox is leaking and I was having to add fluid every few days. I bought some Lucas Stop Leak and started replacing lost fluid with it. By the time I had used up the bottle the leak was a little slower. The instructions said it may take two bottles but the stuff is so thick, like cold molasses, I was concerned about damaging the pump. Now that I've gone back to using regular fluid the leak is much worse.

The container is very easy to use with a secure leakresistant cap. The noises of the rack and pump seems to subdued and with a 13 year old car, this is as good as you can expect.

I was getting hard turn and power steering noise so I went to 3 repair shops and they all came with you need to replace your Rack and Pinion and that cheapest price was $1.800 for 20-year old car so I went on Youtube and seen this product so I went to walmart and purchase this product for $9.00 can home taken out all the old fluid and installed Lucas Power Steering Stop leak and my Rack and Pinion is like new No noise/No hard turns just very smooth and that was last year in 2013 and here is going into 2015 year and still going strong and smooth I saved my self= $1,791.00 for my GM 1994 Cadillac Deville. Also used Lucas Trans Fluid with Maxlife it workawesome too.
