This movie is kind of a mixed good or bad movie for me. I kind of rate it as a fair ranking for old SCI-FI movies. There are a few mild violent scenes in the movie, nothing bad though. Two actors die in movie. This movie starts out with scientists launching a test rocket(un-manned) to test some new guidance system. Everything goes ok until it flys over a part of the world and then they loose it and it crashes on an island. The group of scientists then go in search for the rocket and crash on the same island because of magnetic interference from the island. This is where the movie gets boring for a while. They spend 70% of the time climbing up and down a huge mountain, because as we all know the rocket just happened to land on top of this mountain. Once they get to the top of the mountain, they find a tropical forest and fight off some dinosaurs in their search for the rocket. Dinosaurs looked somewhat realistic for the time this movie was made. Note:This part of the film they turn the black and white film to a very fine light greenish tint for a special effect when on top of the moutain. They now find the rocket, get their information and then the mountain starts to come apart. Last part of the movie they frantically climb down the mountain, avoid earthquake events, allot of wind, and get back to the sea where then the island blows up. The quality of the DVD movie is good. The acting/plot is not bad for this old SCI-FI film(Just didn't like all the mountain climbing). It is not the best movie, but if you are into collecting older SCI-FI films like me, it is not bad compared to allot of dumb SCI-FI B-movies back then. ScifibufDT
