The operating range of your Freedom Alert will depend on many factors including intervening walls, electrical interference or various appliances such as vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens, mixers, coffee grinders, hair dryers and other sources of electrical noise around the house. The system should cover your typical home (less than 3,500 square feet) and a short distance into the front, side and back yards.
Instruction guide that is include will walk you thruogh the steps to determine if everything is working properly within the range of the house.

The freedom Alert now uses DECT 1.9Ghz technology. It has better coverage than most cordless phones in your home.

However, each home is different. Each home is a different size and made of different materials.

Buy the unit, try it out in your home.
Walmart has a good return policy if the unit does not offer the coverage you need. Keep all your receipts.

If the person is able to push the button & hold it in for a couple of seconds so that the emergency call can be made; then whoever answers the call will know that the call was made for an emergency & that noone is talking to them. I HIGHLY recommend this product for someone who can comprehend how it works & is able to use it. Quite a nice device!!!

If they press the button it will keep dialing until someone is reached or eventually go to 911. Hopefully the person who answers will be aware that this is an emergency number they have set up and will call 911 for them and be able to go help if needed.

how does this system works if the person is unable to speak?

Yes. The FreedomAlert has a two-way pendant that allows the user to talk to the person on the other end just like a telephone. The user is able to tell whoever answers whatever they want.

Great product for someone who would just have a family member called in an emergency. It dials direct to nubmbers put in contact list and keeps calling the next number until it gets an intelligent response from the number called. If it gets an answering machine or voicemail, it will hang and call the next number in list. You can set it up to dial 911 if not one of four people are reached. You can also answer your rining phone with it if you are not close to the phone.

Great product

I really wanted something that would work in a multilevel home and having the microphone in the pendant was the answer. I also am glad not to pay the monthly monitoring fees year after year. One time outlay and my Dad is set whether he is in the basement, up in bed or out on the front porch.

Works Great

It was easy to set up but it did not come with a booklet so I did not know how to program the telephone numbers in.  I called the company and they did it for me.  They also sent me a booklet for future reference or I could have downloaded it online.  I've tested it and it works great.  One feature I like; you can't accidentally push the button because you have to hold it for 2 seconds to complete the first call.

We are very happy with the "LogicMark Freedom Alert Emergency Alert System". Easy to program, operate (my mother is almost 87 and needed something easy to operate) and very clear to understand each other when talking. We haven't had the opportunity to test the distance away from the main unit yet, but in the house it works perfectly. It's GREAT to have a system like this where we can program up to four numbers to call before it calls "911" and NO MONTHLY FEE!!!!!
I would definitely recommend this system.

I bought this for my 91 year old mother a few weeks ago.  My phone rang a few days ago at 10:00 pm and it was my mother and she had fallen in the bathroom.  She pushed the blue button on the pendant and it called my cell phone.
  It is easy to program and no monthly fee is great.  If the battery goes dead in the pendant it will call you and tell you.  You can also answer the phone with the pendant and use it like a speaker phone.
  You will have to go online for the instructions about how to program it and many of the features.  Included is just a quick guide on setting it up.

Great product.

We needed a personal alert for my elderly mother that ran off landlines, because the cell signal is terrible where she lives. AND it calls 4 numbers you program in (ie. #1 mine, #2 my brother, etc), then if no one of the 4 numbers answers, it calls 911. The base unit has battery back up and keeps an extra device battery in it so there's always a charged battery.

Has exactly what we need!

I was hoping I wasn't just cheap purchasing this alert system instead of getting a monthly payment product. But I think it works just as well. One problem I had with it was finding a phone line in her house available. Finally I found a DLS filter phone plug (ok, I have 5 or 6 of them from internet modems), that had 2 phone plugs which will go into the one phone line we had that worked. Then I put the phone numbers in like it said on the instructions, tho it says to call each of the contacts and let them know you are going to call them. But I started with my cell phone number -put in the # sign, then dialed the next number till I had all 4 phone numbers in. Well it took 2 of the numbers but the 3 & 4th number didn't go..sometimes the machine double repeats numbers so you will need to try again. Then I practiced, it rang my number, (I didn't put in the 5, then went to my brothers number, he hung up, then the last 2 numbers were "no longer avail.". So then it went to 911 before I could find out how to cancel the test!! (PS You Can't cancel it, it will continue all the way thru 911 if no one puts in 5.) 911 comes on the speaker asking can they help my emergency, I had to tell them it was a trial, he laughed and verified my mom's name and address. So yes! It works. Just make sure she (the voice on the alert system) repeats the numbers correctly or you will have to put them in again.

Good product for elderly mother

We bought this for my Dad who is now living alone.  We like it because there are no monthly fees and at this point is sufficient.  We tested the product and it works very well.  The only downside is that if the device has to dial to the 3rd of 4th caller, it can take a while because the device has to call each person, wait for them to acknowledge, and then hang up and call the next person if no response.  In a dire emergency these seconds can matter, but we plan on keeping a close eye on this.

Works great and priced right

After searching for the right system that would help my mother stay in touch with her children and get her medical assistance when needed, this was the system chosen. It was easy to set up, although I did have to go to the website for more detailed instruction.  The button is a bit hard for mom to push, she doesn't have much strength and perhaps the Alzheimer's makes it confusing. However, I have peace of mind when I'm away and you can't put a price on that.

Peace of mind

I assumed I would get all components as shown in the pictures 1- 4, I did not! I ordered this "Special Purchase" system which shows 5 pictures along the left side of the base station and communicator off the Walmart.com Web site. The 4th and 5th pictures shows an "Emergency Wall Communicator" which one would assume would be a part of the system as there is no other description of what comes with this "Special Purchase" other than these pictures on this WalMart page . When my order arrived the "Emergency Wall Communicator" was not included, and when I  called LogicMark, the actual seller of the product, I was informed it was not a part of the sytem, that it is a very expensive accessory! This is gross misrepresentation of a listed product and if you ever try to get a real person to talk to at WalMart.com then good luck.  Senior/ Medical Emergency devices should not be misrepresented and the one is. They need to describe exactly what is included (which they did not) and show accurate pictures. Buy from another business and one that describes what you should get.
