We have not used it long enough to provide a higher rating on durability. As far as expectation it is everything we wanted. The construction is similar to Le Creuset. However, it's hard to determine the quality of the cast iron and enamel. This is an excellent dutch oven for first time owners. I was very surprised with our Lodge color enamel 6-quart cast iron dutch oven. One of my concerns was the knob. On the website it shows a plastic version. When our order arrived it had the metal knob, which is the newer model. Overall, we're very pleased and eager to use it. 04/16/2013

I have used it many times already and it gives complete satisfaction in performance and appearance, cooking meals to perfection and also making a beautiful presentation on the table. I expect to use it for years to come and pass it along as a family treasure. Enough cannot be said about the value. Aside from the superior quality of the Lodge dutch oven compared with other brands costing many, many times more, Walmart's price is absolutely the best. 01/25/2013
