Got this game after reading the reviews. Awesome game. My wife starts playing as soon as she gets home. There is no cheating in this game like with the wii. Arms legs and everything have to move. Its a little hard for me to play but still enjoy trying.

If you have a Kinect this is one of the best games you can get for it, along-side Kinect Sports. It's amazing how accurately it notices your form, and critiques you on it. And you thought "Dance Dance" games were fun. I've forgotten those games exist now. The set of songs is a mix of old school and current dance and hip-hop. It's very rare to see a move repeated in another song, and I love that. The moves for each song really have you feeling it too, and that puts the fun factor through the roof. I'm searching hard for a con, but having trouble. I guess I'd tell you to avoid it if you don't like moving around a whole lot(again, it's no Dance Dance)...because only after 2-3 songs in on hard, it starts testing you pretty good. Oh, I thought of another one...ceiling fans. Ouch.

  • Nope, just the game and the Kinect sensor.

  • You need the Kinect Sensor with the Xbox 360 of course. I suppose if you don't like the texture of your play room floor you could buy a mat, but it wouldn't effect the games performance either way. For example I have hardwood floor in my living room and have almost slipped a couple of times, so I brought out my yoga mat to move around on.

  • No, you don't need anything extra to play this game. You jump in front of the Kinect, and your off.

  • no. the camera sences your moves.

  • Nothing but the game and the kinect sensor needs to be purchased. There is no controller to use for it and no mat to stand on. The sensor reads your body movements. Just stand in front of your TV and sensor and follow along the best you can and have tons of fun. You are the controller!

  • no dance mats but this is a kinect game which requires the kinect controller that sells for $150 but is a very fun add on for the xbox 360. Recommend both, very fun.

  • 2- 4 people

  • 2 people can play in battle mode, but you won't be able to go together. You can do the same song, and the game will take you through some of the song for Player 1, then Player 2 does the same part, then Player 1 does the next part, then it goes back to Player 2, and so on. Basically it is one person at a time.

  • I'd say third person? You mimic the avatar on screen and the senor monitors how well you mirror the moves
    by Kashissk1/23/2011

  • It's 1-2 players. On 1 player, it's still fun to mimic the dance behind the person playing. For 2 player, I believe there's a couple modes including battle.
    by SnatchATK1/13/2011

  • it can be either. because you can proform the song by yourself or you can dance battle someone.
    by swimchick211311/28/2010

  • 1 person game but other people can dance along at the same time as long as they are behind you and not interfering with the kinect sensing your dance moves. There is a mode that you can play battle. It would have you dance the first part of the song and have your friend dance the second half of the song, then it would compare scores to see who did best.
    by Azrael0281/13/2011
Was this answer helpful? (1) (1)
  • Either 1 or 2 person. Only one person can do a breakdown at a time. Breakdown is where the game teaches you the dance moves one at a time for the song you choose, but after that you can battle with two players.

  • it is a 2 person game. But not at the same time.
