toddler swing - great in summer AND winter!

this is the FOURTH swing of this type I have bought this year. last summer I purchased the Flexible Flyer kiddie swing set, with three swings and a slide, for my daughter. we bought one of these swings, extra, for her 16 mo old girl. she uses is daily (even in snow!) and loves it. this spring we got same swing set for OUR house and this time we also got ourselves TWO toddler swings for use by our other grands. attachment is easy. kid in swing is very safe. swings are a snap to use - they just hook on, right out of the box. check the stores - some have them on the shelf. they are inexpensive and worth every penny for small kids and worked all winter, even in our ice cold ski region! by the way, the swing SET is often on sale $99- check prices!

Good value. Safe for large infant. My large 6 month old grandson could use it. Later the safety harness can be moved so he can still use the swing when he is too big to use the infant restraints.

I bought this swing from Wal-Mart because I have always like little tikes and it was the cheapest one I had found. My son is 7 months old and I was scared he would not be secure or he would be scared in it. But when my husband hung the swing and put him in he LOVED it! The swing straps are adjustable and you can make them very snug and secure and the T bar makes him feel secure he is snug in there he holds on and loves every minute of it....Cries when we take him out!

    • I have a little difficulty, but maybe it is just like that until you use it a few more times.

    • Not really. It is purposely made a little difficult to unclip so that the kids don't accidentally unbuckle it themselves. You have to stick your fingers/thumbs up under the plastic covering and push pretty hard to get it undone.

    • The strap is easy. You actually put your finger into the hole to unbuckle.

    • It was easy for my thirty something hands, but can't say for sure for your mother...lord knows I occasionally struggle with car sets and the like...I'd go look at he product at the store and make your own determination so your little peanut doesn't spend time in the swing that wasn't planned on!

    • Yes, Very easy to snap it in and not bad at all to unsnap it. But not too easy for the child to undo. Great product.

    • You just have to push up on the buckle, so she should be able to do it.

    • It doesn't come with its own support system if that's what you mean. It does come with the ropes and the hardware/hooks to attach it to a swingset. I think your best bet would be to hook it up to a swingset, but I have seen a few hung on tree branches or from the ceiling in playrooms. Hope that helps.

    • It can be used on a swing set. Just slide it onto the hooks. My husband installed hooks it our garage and we swing her in the opening. The possibilities are endless. Just depends how handy you are!

    • You would have to hang it on a swing set or on a tree limb. We have used both and it works great. Very sturdy swing.

    • You have to hang it on a swingset or something else.

    • IT IS NOT SELF-STANDING. you need something overhead to hang it from. we also got the Flexible Flyer smallest kiddie swing set (on sale) for $99, but any swingset with two overhead rings to attach this swing to would work, and there is no reason you could not get creative. you could even use it by just screwing in two BIG eye-hooks to the top of a door jamb, or garage beam, or even a tree limb. the swing has a self-leveling feature. you can easily adjust the cords! no tools. the whole thing just "saftey-hooks" on at the top, so all you need are rings strong enough to hold up a small child. just be sure the ring-part is solid, strong, and doesn't move.
