Customer Product Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5★ by 15reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5★ by Great stuff but..... The only issue I have is that the description said 100% wool. Which is the whole reason why I purchased the yarn from an online retailer. I get the package after site to store and its actually not 100% wool but 78% wool. With a combination of rayon and acrylic in the mix; this is not such and issue for me but I wanted to voice my concerns because some people are highly allergic to synthetic fabrics; especially rayon. 08/21/2013
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Not always what the description says it is. I ordered the Natural and the Birch Tweed for a felting project. The yarn worked great but when I received the yarn I noticed the two skeins were packaged differently. After reading the information on the skeins I found out that after paying for two 8 oz skeins of 100% pure virgin wool, only the Natural colored yarn was really that! The Birch Tweed was 6 oz of wool, acrylic, and rayon mixed. They both felted nicely but the 100% wool was better than the mix. When ordering the Tweed yarns, just be care and make sure you order an extra one for big projects! 04/08/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by There is no place within a 125 that has wool yarn. I found it online at Walmart. I was worried that the dye lots wouldn't match, but they did. Shipping to my store was free. Definitely will look for more yarn, thread and craft supplies on line that I can't get in my town. 12/22/2012
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Great yarn for a beginner. Easy to work with. Felts nice. Wasn't too flimsy and didn't unravel or twist. I personally found it be slightly itchy to wear but gave my felted piece to a friend and she hasn't had any problems with it. 11/10/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great product!. Met expectations Walmart has the cheapest prices around compared to Michael's, Joann's, hobby lobby, Amazon, and eBay 11/14/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by I bought Lion Brand Fishermen's Wool Yarn to make gloves for my husband...I was very pleased with the quality of the wool, especially for the price! The only criticism I have is the lack of variety in colors available...all in all, a wonderful product! 02/12/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great to make socks for cold weather wear I used the regular Fishermans (natural 100% wool) to make socks for cold weather wear. My feet stay toasty warm and dry inside my boots. I wear my boots a 1/2 size bigger just so I can wear these as they are much thicker than regular socks. I would recommend making socks for anyone you know who works outdoors. Also great for skiers. Remember though, that while these can be washed in the machine (cold water with wool wash and fabric softener) they should not be put in the dryer or they will turn hard. I wring them out in a towel and hang them inside or outside (weather permitting) to dry. Since it is a natural fabric they dry very fast. 11/11/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Misleading Online Description The web listing states that these yarns re 100% wool, however not all of them are. I can tell you that the Birch Tweed is a wool/acrylic/rayon blend. Not sure about all of the others, but if you are buying this for a specific purpose that requires 100% wool, be careful. 02/03/2014
