I read all of the opinions before I purchased this product and decided to take a chance. It looks very nice in my home. As far as putting it together, that was quite the job, make sure you have a vehicle big enough to fit the 3 boxes in to start with, you need a weight lifter or several strong teenage boys (boxes are heavy), 1 teenager to help you put it together-make note here- another adult will only cause frustration and confusion. if you can find a teenager who can take directions well then you are in good shape (it's a 2 person job) you also need a lot of patience. The directions and the screws come in 2 seperate boxes, good luck figuring out where they are, and the directions are pictures only. You definately don't need to be able to read for this one. the way the benches are hinged is useless-go buy yourself something else to hold the lid on the storage area. A screw fell out and I have no idea where it goes but I will figure it out when something gives. It took me all day and half the night to put this together. There was a chip in the table top when I opened the box but it is small so I am not going to worry about it. For the price the durability seems on target. Not too flimsy and not too sturdy.
