Mine are actually from Aqua Culture, but you'll find many brands of the same specs for this light (10 watt, 6500k spectrum). They're much better than generic incandescent (less heat, better quality light). Had mine for 6 months so far; I plan to replace after a year just for the heck of it (I heard the light quality degrades around that time). For a 10 gallon I believe this is the best option other than spending a significant more amount of money going for some premium LED fixture. 04/14/2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by rastoma Best screw-in CFL bulb anywhere This is a must have replacement bulb if you have a small aquarium that has a screw-in type bulb. The cheap aquarium kits (usually 10 gallon and smaller) have a bulb called incandescent and it gets very hot, the color looks 'yellowish' and can't support real plants. This replacement CFL (compact fluorescent) is the cheapest you can find anywhere in the country. It supports live plants and has a pleasing true white color. The main application I have used these is in the small Aqua-Bow 2.5 gallon aquarium kits that I use for shrimp. Many people end up returning the kit or not using due to the water getting too hot from the included cheap bulb. With this replacement CFL, the water doesn't get too hot, it looks better, grows plants and last longer. Similar bulbs that burn out in half the time of this CFL are twice the cost. I hope Walmart never stops selling this product. 02/08/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by duncan123 Awesome Lightbulb for Aquarium at a great Price! I just purchased a new set of these bulbs after my first two burnt out. I have the first two bulbs on for tweleve hours a day for over two years, so needless to say these bulbs are great. They last a very long time and you can't beat the price! At pet stores they ask for $10 to $15 for one bulb, but at Walmart there only a little over $5. Cannot beat it! Definitely a must buy! 01/06/2013
