Rated 4 out of 5 by Kevinivek Works well, but with some flaws... It appears from the other reviews that people don't know how to use the vest. First off, you have to aim at the SENSOR (not the actual part that lights up) to sync your gun. Second... the sync sometimes does not work if you've made many changes to the gun. Simply turn off the gun and turn it back on, and it will work. This has worked 100% of the time for me. So now for the actual pros and cons:Pros:Vest has 2x the amount of health as the gun, so using the vest makes the use of attachments a little bit more fun... not as many easy kills. The sensor on the vest, if placed on the TOP OF THE SHOULDER so it can be hit from the front, side, back, and above... works very well. It's hard to hide your target from the enemy. The targets on the guns can be hard to hit if not aimed at you... so using the guns really doesn't allow for any sneak attacks or anything. you need to get their attention and get them to shoot you in order to kill them. The vest is very adjustable... both main straps are adjustable, and the part that goes around the torso is also adjustable. For anyone who says it doesn't fit kids... they don't know what they're doing. I will say that it might be too small to fit larger individuals (I'm about 240 and 5'10", and I have a bit of slack on the straps... but not much). The use of the vest adds for some interesting new "think out side of the box" game types.... for instance, switch all guns to the yellow team, but leave vests on the red or blue teams... you've just enabled friendly fire. you can also hurt yourself, so watch for those shiny walls where shots can ricochet.guns can be "sync'd" with the vest, and then turned off and back on to give the gun it's own health... (with half the health of the vest as mentioned above). This would allow your gun to be destroyed... preventing people from shooting their guns around corners (if synced with the vest, guns are invincible).Cons:Also mentioned in the above pros... the guns are indestructible when synced with the vest. This also means that you can't get kills from shooting the gun unless you unsync it.There is no "death" sound that's made when the vest is destroyed. The only indication is the blinking lights on the target.Sync'ing your gun to your vest really just moves the health to the vest... it doesn't actually do anything to the gun to relay information from the vest. This means that if the vest is destroyed... your gun still works. This combined with the fact that there's no death sound means that someone that's really into the game will keep playing until they realize they're dead.So my summary... is... The vests are VERY functional, and can add a LOT to the game... but they really do have some major flaws. If you can find ways around those flaws and accept them for what they are, you can have an absolute blast when using the vests with the guns and coming up with some interesting new combinations of game types (again... there's no friendly fire without the vests...) 01/06/2012
