    The Lifetime 51550 Courtside Portable Basketball System is an excellent portable hoop system that lets you take along your undying passion for the game wherever you go. Unlike other hoop systems, the portable basketball hoop can be placed anywhere by filling water or sand in the 31-gallon polyethylene base. The basketball goal system features bottom wheels for easy portability. The backboard is made from shatter-resistant polycarbonate, making the hoop highly durable. The graphics on the backboard are fade resistant as well. The 51550 Courtside Portable Basketball System can be adjusted with just one hand using the special speed shift mechanism. Its main feature is its orange Slam-It rim with double compression rings and welded net hooks. This rim lets you showcase your dunks and other ball skills with style.

    Great product, great value! My Mom purchased the system for my 10 year old son and it's really great. My son and husband set everything up in a couple of hours with no trouble.The only complaint we have is that the 2 holes in the base for filling the sand are so incredibly small! We live in the Midwest so we don't want the bother of using water/anti-freeze and don't like the sloppy look of just dumping sand bags on top of the base so it took us a couple of hours to get the 350 lbs of sand into those tiny openings - just a poor design.Aside from that, the system is fabulous and an amazing value for the money. We shopped around online and Walmart not only had a great price for the system but an amazing price for shipping so we just couldn't pass it up. All the neighborhood kids are using it and we really love it! 05/20/2010

    Lifetime 51550 Basketball System Having put up at least two other basketball goals in my time I was eager to see if there were any changes to the systems. The adjuster for the rim was fantastic. It was so easy to use. Actually the whole kit was pretty easy to put together. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY and you shouldn't have a problem. I was left with two hex nuts that didn't seem to go to anything. That's pretty good considering the first time I put one together I had a whole bag of bolts left... Go Figure. 06/01/2009
    Worth Every Penny I was a little skeptical about this product because several other reviewers suggested that it was rather difficult to assemble. We had no such problems, so I was extremely pleased. The kids love it, and my youngest son plays on it every day. The height adjustment mechanism is fantastic, and for the money, the quality of the product is unsurpassed. We actually had the opportunity to test the shatter resistence of the the backboard, and I was impressed at its resilience. I'd pulled it down to put in more sand, stood it back up (off track) and it fell down onto a concrete sidewalk overnight. The backboard remained intact -- no problems. I would strongly recommend this goal to others. 06/03/2009
