The Triple AAA digital preset twelve volt air inflator is a definite must have for any vehicle. The compact design makes it easy to transport and store conveniently away in the vehicle. The instructions are real easy to follow and set up took no time at all. The DV adapter plugs right into the vehicles adapter and it is ready to be used. The built in digital preset LCD screen pressure gauge is easily visible and can be adjusted with the plus and minus to provide the proper pressure. The scale button is used to switch between the different units (Bar, Psi or amps). Once the devise is hooked up and set to the right unit of pressure you turn on the power and start inflating. Once the item reaches the desired pressure the device will automatically shut off. It has a great SMD work light and a long cord with the air hose connected that can be switched out with two different air adapters depending on what you are inflated. This works perfects for low tires and worked great for my air mattress when we went camping. I make sure I always have this right n the vehicle at all times.

Perfect traveling accessory for any vehicle

just wanted to give some info on this lil guy since it was a inexpensive lil guy it, it actually feels very solid and heavy compared to others , not light and wimpy , the motor pulls strong it still does take 7-8 minutes to fill a full size tires from flat but feels like a machine that would last a few times more then the rest doing it , but time will tell .

quality feeling

This is one of those amazing products that come in a boring box. From the box, you would never guess the quality of this inflator. As the old saying goes, "Never judge a book by its cover". The very first thing you notice when you pull it out of the box is the good plastic its made of. Also, the inflator has some weight to it. Not overly heavy but not that cheap light weight feel where you think everything inside is made of cheap plastic. It comes with instructions. Once you plug the unit into the car's 12v socket, both the LED light and the LCD display light up. No need to flip a switch, which I find it great, considering you might be on the side of the road somewhere at night when you need to use this. I was pleasantly surprised that the digital display is backlit. I was not expecting that and the box does not say so. The picture on the box does not show the unit plugged in and lit up. Once the unit is plugged in, all you have to do is set your desired pressure. And the last thing you need to do is plug in the air hose and flip the switch to ON. From there the unit will start inflating and automatically stop when the preset air pressure is reached. 
On the back of the unit there are two adapters, one is a needle for rubber sports balls such as a basketball, and the other is a spout adapter for children's inflatable plastic balls or other inflatable toys. I found it can inflate a ball very fast.
Overall, I am very pleased with this inflator, and found it to be better than expected. In particular, the backlit display is something I did not expect at all.

Fastastic Inflator

As I said in the title, this does take some time to fully inflate but most likely you are just using this to top off your tires like I am. You use the controls to set the desired pressure, attach the hose to the tire and switch it on. It automatically inflates to the pressure you chose and seems to be pretty accurate. My TPM had done off and I used this to check and properly inflate all four tires. After a reset, the meter stayed off and I did not have to get out my large compressor to fix it. As my tires are usually within 1-2 psi of their needed range, this did not take long at all. I will definitely keep this in my trunk for emergencies and road trips. It also has a light in case you need to use this in the dark, which could be helpful especially on the side of the road.

Not the fastest but it works well

I just received the AAA 12v Tire Air Inflator, and had a chance to use it on my son's vehicle right away. First off, it's a small compact piece of equipment that will take up very little room in your vehicle. Second, easy plug in for your 12v outlet, with plenty of cord to reach all four tires. The air hose connector is a solid material with a snug fit on your tire valve. The pressure gauge is easy to read, and over all, the AAA Tire Air Inflator is inexpensive, compact, and works. I'll be getting them for my kids vehicles next.

Compact, works great!

No more excuses on keeping your tires properly inflated to a safe and gas saving level. Just set your cars recommended pressure, attach the hose and turn it on. It shuts itself off when the proper PSI is reached. It will also tell you what your current PSI level is even without turning it on. LED light is handy for roadside emergencies.

Convenient

AAA tire pressure inflator was very easy to use . It was easy to connect to all my cars and provided an acceptable level of noise while filling to 40 psi . Good build quality with regards to the housing. Rubber pads on the bottom provided good anti-vibration and kept it from moving around. I did notice a nominal amount of moisture exiting the the fill line but most compressors this size have the same problem. 
I would recommend this compressor for quick and routine weekly fill up. It will stay in my daily driver.

Solid .

I got this 12V compressor to add to my "go bag" that I carry which has a couple tire gauges, self vulcanizing tire plug kit, breaker bar, foot pump, and a couple other items. One big thing that is missing from the item description, even in the documentation, is the power cable length and hose length. The power cable is 10' and the hose is 20". So, be sure that it will reach your tires. For me it was a little bit of a disappointment because I'd hoped to be able to use it if needing to air up my boat trailer tires in an emergency but it would not reach the left side tires which are furthest from the 12V plug on the helm. I use an air compressor for normal airing up around the house so this unit would be very limited use for me.

To test it out, I used it on my F-150 to air up a tire that was a couple of pounds lower than the rest. It was the left rear and I had to use the rear console 12V plug to reach the tire easily (supercrew). I was surprised that the gauge on the unit seemed to be pretty accurate and read the same 31 lbs as my tire gauge. The gauge goes to 300 lbs so the resolution isn't great but is acceptable for getting a tire aired up very close or a little over where you need it, and then checking with a gauge and airing down to correct pressure. Adding a couple lbs of air only took about 30 seconds, and that was on a 285/55R20 all terrain tire. I did have to do it twice because the new connector was pretty hard to pull off the valve stem when done so I lost some air. The second time I knew what to expect so I unlocked it and then quickly yanked it off with some force.

The unit takes up very little space. The hose, power cord, and accessory kit tuck into a storage space on the side and stay tucked in. The documentation says it will pull up to 10A so make sure your 12V outlet will supply that by checking the fuse or labeling. I assume that 10A is the max that would come in closer to its max pressure and that normal lower pressure stuff wouldn't pull that much current. Also, a cool down period is needed after 15 minutes of continuous running which in most situations you'd probably never see. All in all, not a bad little unit.

Nice addition to an auto travel kit

This review is for the AAA Digital Preset Air Inflator DC Power with Pressure Gauge

Small, compact air pump. approx 8 in x 3 in x 7 in. the 10 foot power cord and the 1.5 foot air hose store neatly into the side of the unit when not in use. On the back it has the attachment for filling a ball/raft. Rubber feet to absorb the vibration when in use. The hose attachment is like a traditional foot pump, the nozzle is that style, locking on the valve. 

FYI- The power comes from a standard cigarette lighter, so make sure your car has one w/15 amp fuse or greater. There is NO battery to charge, all power comes from YOUR cigarette lighter plug.

The gauge is digital and all you do is preset the pressure you want and the pump fills it to that level, no need to sit there and watch it. Very cool for those that are not mechanical.

There is a light on the side of the unit to light up your workspace, there is no on/off switch for it. 

For its size, its a pretty fast little pump, perfect for smaller jobs or road side emergencies, it takes 6 minutes to fill a tire from flat. Don't expect this to fill your tires in the same time as a full size air pump, its a small unit. Perfect to fit in your car. 

Great item to put in your GF/wives car... I would recommend this pump.

Understand, I have only used this ONE time to fill my tires and it worked great. I just hope that this unit will last for years.

Small portable air pump

I have had several of these types of air compressor over the years. This is not fast but does work. The air gage actually seems accurate. It has different needles for a variety of applications. Tires, rafts, floats, air mattress ECT.. The compartment on the side does not have a cover. The air hose and power cable barely fits in it. Needs something to hold it in.

Does the job

attempted to use to add air to my car tires.. compressor would not work.  Even tried in a 2nd vehicle same results.  Returned to Wal-mart.  Easy return policy. Excellent service.
