Lexmark C540N Color Laser Printer 1 1
Lexmark C540n I am a MBA student soon to enter a doctoral program at a state university and purchased the laser printer to compliment my IBM equipment. Most of my print jobs are black and white but in the past year I have printed 1972 pages and had to replace the magenta, blue and yellow cartridge twice. I have two major problems with this product other than the cost of toner. If the cartridge states 2000 pages, I expect 2000 pages. This printer charges the color cartridges for toner even when you are printing black and white. In addition, if a color cartridge runs empty, the printer will not allow you to print black and white. This printer is fine for someone printing high volume color jobs but as an all purpose laser printer that prints primarily black and white, no way! I regret making the purchase. I purchase products for the benefits; this printer does not deliver the benefits Lexmark promises. 12/04/2011
