only 4 of the 6 screws went into studs in mine and it works fine for my 50 inch. the lefthand side of the mount has no bolts at all. only the right and the middle.

I have used this mount on many different types of walls and with different flat panel TV's.
Since this mount will expand to over 36", you can mount it to at least 2 studs. Once installed the flat panel can be mounted any place on the wall bracket allowing you to center it on the wall. It does NOT need to be screwed dead center.

Yes, this unit requires being mounted to a wall.

Do you have to drill into the wall for this product?

I Suggest drilling pilot holes and installing lead anchors. This is real rock I hope not the similated stuff! Use some sort of spacers to hold the mount at level. (Washers will work)

awesome product, easy to install, and wayyy cheaper than any other product from any other location. most were way over 100 bucks.

Made of heavy gauge steel with not one but 2 built in bubble type levels and package includes a small electronic stud finder. The mount is easy to install with minimal assembly required. The width is adjustable, so there is no problem adjusting to fit any sized flat panel. I have personally weight tested the installation on 2x4 stud and drywall, concrete block and brick walls, and all have held over 250 lbs without a problem.
A strong, solid, easy to install wall mount, and at a great price too.
A little recommendation for those who have never installed a wall mount. Don't rely solely on the levels. Most homes do NOT have a perfectly level roof, so even if the mount is perfectly level, the TV may look like it's crooked. Measure from the roof down to the level you are going to place the mount at two places and draw a line. Then attach the mount leveled with the line. This will make the set look perfectly square on the wall, even if the wall is a little off.

A very strong wall mount

I searched all over the web only to find this is the best deal for what it is. If you think about it, you just need a sturdy mount to keep your TV from hitting the floor. Its just a bracket made out of metal, no need to charge a high price for something like this but when you need it, you need it , so most will charge you too much. This was a good, inexpensive purchase. You have the option of tilt or flat against the wall, low profile (1-7/8") Universal, fits most TV's.

Good buy

I had purchased a wall mount at my local Walmart store from their inventory. When I got home I checked Walmart online and found this product which was exactly what I wanted for about 1/3 the price. It had mostly decent reviews. I ordered it for free delivery to the store and returned the other one. It arrived in 3 or 4 days. It was very easy to install and is working perfectly. It's a great value especially compared to some other more expensive mounts that couldn't possibly work any better.

TV Wall Mount

This wall mount is really awesome! Very easy to put up, the levels make it really handy, it comes with a stud finder and the video on the walmart.com page is a huge help! I would recommend this product to anyone!

THE MOUNT IS GREAT!

This mount had little levels built into it so it was impossible for you to hang slanted. Genius!

So easy to put up!

Product was simple and easy to place on wall, read directions before attempting to install. Read other reviews on some other products that they were hard to put up and had to modify to fit tv. Not the case on this one. Really went up smoothly and quickly, I consider myself very average on skill level on this type stuff. I used this to mount a 46" Panasonic in bedroom. can not beat the online price.

Simple and easy

Good and simple product!!! Used it for a 52" Samsung TV. Less than 1hr to Install. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Only downfall is there is no place to put a Lock to lock the TV to my wall. It has some brackets that adjust to wedge it on so someone cant just come up up and pick the TV off your wall. I used a half inch spacer to have more room for my HDMI CABLE AND PLUG. You have to have a small hand to get back behind the TV still and unscrew the brackets.

Great Product

I had read on a previous review that the brackets were uneven however, I thought it would be due to that reviewer getting an odd one. Well... mine was uneven too. The level tool that comes with it indicated that it was perfectly even, however, when I placed my 42" TV on it, it had a difference of about 1/8" on the right side compared to the left. I thought it was because I had installed it wrong, so I started the whole installation process again and got the same results. So, now, I have a bracket that is padded on the right side so my TV is even when mounted... Major disappointment!

Uneven Brackets

The sliding bracket was a good idea, unfortunately this product was not made well; even with the 2 built in levels, I still had to use my own level. Using the built in levels set up the mount crooked, and I had to redo the whole setup.
Then the lock on the TV bracket to the mount was not manipulable when I screwed in the vertical pieces onto my 47" flat screen. Two big strikes!!!
