Rated 1 out of 5 by MamaDeeds Terrible capacity I am very disappointed in this product. While it is fun for my son, it only stores a couple of books on it and whenever someone purchases him a new book, I have to delete one of the other ones on it. Although I am rarely disappointed in Leapster products, this is one I definitely wouldn't recommend. Hopefully the regular Tag has more capacity! Maybe better to purchase it. 04/20/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by jtchil 2 1/2 year old loves it!! I bought this for my daughter because she was always trying to play with her brother's TAG pen. I have not even given her a real book yet, she played with the sample book for about 90 minutes today! She loves her "puppy." As a former teacher turned homeschool mom, I am excited to give her something educational to do while I teach her older siblings. We have been thrilled with every leapfrog purchas so far :) 04/04/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by dcandmc poor battery life. I have changed out the batteries in this product after every other use. The tag junior was shut down correctly, yet the product must continue sucking power. Soon we will have spent more in batteries than the product is worth. I recommend parents upgrade to the tag reader instead. 01/31/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by AACMP Great Product but needs more memory capacity This is a great product overall. Our child was able to use it intuitively from the time she was 2 years old and she loves playing with the Tag Junior books. They are great at teaching her to read (not to mention just keeping her occupied). It's a fun, interactive, educational toy, well worth the money. My one gripe is the memory limit. With 8MB on board You can only store 5-7 books at a time. This means possibly starting the leapfrog application, finding a USB cable, plugging in and syncing every time your child picks a book that's not loaded. In the age of smartphones there's really no excuse for not having a lot more on-board memory, or at least an SD card expansion slot.Pros: Very intuitive and fun, nice selection of books that are available at many retailers or online.Cons: Memory capacity 12/26/2011
