Please read this, it's helpful & honest!! My newly turned 7 yr old doesn't like this item. She only asked Santa for 3 things this year one gift request for her cat, this toy, and one other. She ignores this toy, finds it boring. This toy is best suited for younger kids. I purchased over $80 worth of games/learning tools for this device. She's not interested. I suggest only purchase for younger kids. The camera works great. She loves the way it's able to be personalized. I loathe the way the device had to be "set up" via the company's website. This set up including downloads takes a while. So beware, block off some time. You will have to download a orogram on your personal computer. The battery power is short. I purchased the power adapter but that's only good when she's sitting next to an outlet. I suggest you purchase the rechargeable battery accessory sold by manufacturer.Hope this helps. 01/05/2012
