LeapFrog Explorer & LeapPad Learning Game: Dora the Explorer 14 19
Could be better My 3 year old daughter loves Dora so I bought this as her first game from the leapfrog. There is no variety in the game options and is basically just like the old school video game where the character walks forward through a series of levels. There is no originality or educational value. 12/09/2010
Is okay, other Explorer games that are better I'm reviewing this based on my 3 1/2 year old's experience. She gets frustrated playing this game but can play all her other Leaspter Explorer games rather well. She LOVES Ni Hao, Kai-lan: Super Happy Day! and can play it with some challenges but not pure frustration! 01/15/2011
My 2 1/2 year old is able manuver a bit in this game. She loves all things Dora so this was perfect for her. It will be a couple more months before she's able to play it better I'm sure. 01/05/2011
It's just the name Dora that sells this game My daughter was so excited to get this game but finished it in no time. In 2 days she completed it having played only a couple hours each day (most of the other games we own are still on the go).She whizzed through as there isn't too much learning involved. Simple numbers and math but the majority of the game is guiding Dora along trails, in a boat etc... video game style.She has not since re-played the game, but I hope that with a break, I can set the grade level up a little and she may enjoy playing it again... though I think you would have to up the grade level a fair bit higher. 11/28/2010
