Rated 5 out of 5 by elddir You don't need an IPOD to play this ok, so I see several people saying you need an ipod or iphone for thistotally NOT trueyou can play this after inserting the batteries**if you hit the reload button right after turning it on, you can switch from team 1, team 2, team 3, and solo playwe already have some laser tag guns and these work with them as wellI also had my parents look at their local Wal-Mart to get 2 morenow we have 4 of these guns and 4 others for a huge laser tag battlemuch cheaper than going somewhere to rent the guns ... 01/08/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by InMyPerspective Had a Blast! I brought this battle pack and 2 single blasters (total of 4 blasters) to our Thanksgiving dinner gathering and it was a hit! Kids of various ages and adults enjoyed it; we took turns. I must admit that initially I was skeptical, but it’s much cooler than I expected. You can play with a friend or on your own. I personally think it’s more fun playing with a group, that way people run around, shoot each other, or try to hide, etc.Pros:- Simple app installation- You have the option to play without an ipod or iphone (you just won’t view things through the screen but real life)- Feels pretty sturdy- Nice features: makes noises when you get shoot, blaster lights up when you get hit, there is a countdown to start the game, it tells you when it starts (says good luck) or when you are out of the game, tells you when you need to reload, there is a shield option (screen turns bluish)- Can also play individually when connected to an ipod/iphone. You can select the mode and you can aim at targetsCons:- It needs a lot of batteries (6 AA batteries per blaster; not included)- Only works with Ipod (with cameras) or Iphone (won’t fit iphone 5)- not super versatile- It’s difficult to disassemble if you want to take the gun apart againI wish this was compatible with android phones, other than that I think this is pretty fun (much better than I had anticipated). Would recommend if you have an ipod or iphone, but otherwise it may not be worth it (not the same experience). 12/14/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by boo916 not as good as phoenix ltx or original blasters requires iapp for full use of indicators. no support for other phone or media types. no recoil action or hit vibration, no volume control, i dont feel comfortable putting my $350 phone or ipod in unit cradle just to see how much ammo or health level i have plus the cheap ar app requires some purchasing to upgrade weapons or games. as i see it there charging way to much for the two pack, when i can get some phoenix ltx stock 2 pak gun kit for 60 with free shipping on amazon. these new guns are not good in my opinion. i'll pass 12/28/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by MDibb Shipment complaint This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. The goods arrived in the original box and he answered the door therefore ruining the surprise. Be warned that unlike some online retailers, Walmart ships in the manufacturers packaging, at least in this case. 12/03/2012
