2nd one - using the 1st right now! Bought one for myself in-store a coup[le of years ago as they sold out incredibly fast, so mine's purple unfortunately. This one is only online or site-to-store and in black, but looks great and these work fantastic. The difference here is that the center arm and the feet are small, no casters to mess with, and they fit under most chairs and couches so you can get the laptop close to you when you want it but it's lightweight enough to move out of the way when needed to get up, etc.This was a gift for my Mom, she finally made the leap to a laptop and needed something that can get close without having to sit at a computer desk, upright on a hard chair that's a back-killer. It looks like a music stand, does have a hard-control flip knob so it can be flat or angled so you can also use it as a portable table. I have a 17" widescreen that fits easily, she has a 15" but likes an external mouse so the platform has the room to allow that.Only con to all the pro's would be that the allen-wrench construction does tend to loosen up after awhile in a couple of points so you WANT to hang onto the included wrench to tighten the stem bolts up from time to time.I still haven't had an issue with tip-overs, unbalancing or anything like that - only way you'd see that is if you caused it tripping on a power cord or learning it in a direction without properly supporting it. Nice little laptop stand! This laptop stand is a replacement for a larger table I had while on bed rest. I really wanted something smaller that wasn't just another horizontal surface to accumulate stuff. It fits my laptop perfectly with room for a few small items behind it. It angles downward and has a large lip so nothing falls off. The angle makes typing very easy. The stand takes up very little space and is fairly unobtrusive. It looks fairly utilitarian but that doesn't bother me. The only thing that is sometimes a problem is that it is easy to accidentally hit the lever that angles the table. I've had things go flying off the table when this happens (not the laptop, though, it stays put). I wish the lever had been placed in the back of the table. 08/21/2011
