    • A. No, you HAVE to hit a button for the light to go on and it only lasts for 3 seconds or less. You can only see the time from about 6 feet away.

    • A. Temperature and time show on ceiling constantly if you keep it plugged in, only when you push snooze if using batteries. No constant back light on the clock itself.

    • A. I couldn't find it. Couldn't see the faint projection of time and could not even look at the clock. We had no idea what time it was. Rather useless clock.

    Nice Projection Display

I am very happy with this product. I had been looking for a LED projection display clock with the outdoor temperature. I like that this clock does not have a back light on the display unless you push a button. I had another projection alarm clock and the back light was so bright it lit up the room. This one does not have a constantly on back light. I don't think I would use it as an every day alarm clock, but I enjoy having the time and the outdoor temp. projected on the ceiling were you can easily see it while lying in bed. I have had good luck with the clock receiving the radio signal for mainting accurate time. I am not sure of the accuracy of the temperatures for both indoors and out. The temperatures seem to be off from my other thermometers, but they are in the ballpark. The projection display only shows the time and outdoor temp. The LCD display on the clock shows the indoor and outdoor temp. This is a very simple clock without any frills. It does a good job, but I would not buy it if you are trying to get a high quality alarm clock to use everytday. The buttons are not high quality and the unit is somewhat akward to use for an alarm clock. Works great to display the Time and Outdoor temp but that is all I use it for.

our original one broke (don't remember the brand). Was looking for time and outside temperature and thats what I got. My only disappointment was that it is small, so reading it is a bit tough. Also, instead of shoeing both, it flashes back and forth so you have to wait when all you want is a quick glance. But, it was affordable.

    Worst Alarm Clock EVER!

I bought this for my husband for his birthday since his stopped working. I thought he'd enjoy it since it had the projector and indoor/outdoor temperature since he leaves for work really early in the morning. The backlight LCD does NOT stay on all the time, which to me an alarm clock should do. You have to hit a button for it to go on and it only lasts for 3 seconds. The temperature is WAY off. The alarm itself is horrible! He was over an hour and a half late to work today because the alarm will go off, but if you don't hit the snooze button and it plays through, it WON'T go off again. Therefore a heavy sleeper like us sleeps right through it. In this economy, you CAN'T risk being late thanks to an alarm clock! The projector stopped working the day after I gave it to him and when it did work, it wasn't bright at all. The set up takes awhile and is hard to understand. This clock is horrible and coming from tech-guru's... GET A DIFFERENT CLOCK! We're returning this today and getting a different clock form a different company. Otherwise, I'd take a sledge hammer to this.

Nice clock with ceiling light feature

We purchased this clock to replace an older version that wore out. This one features a dimmable ceiling light, which is nice for those who can't sleep with a light nearby. Outside temperature gauge is not reliable ( same with the older model). Often you look up and see -- as temperature, then it rights itself to read the outside sensor again and starts showing up the correct temperature. Overall reliable clock which resets itself to correct time. Nice that the time can be switched to so many positions on the ceiling.

I had an Emerson Smartset projection clock before. The projection stopped working. Once you get used to seeing the time on the ceiling, you just can't live without it. I ordered the La Crosse Technology Projection Digital Alarm Clock with Temperature. I thought the temperature projection would be nice, too. First the settings were a little confusing. I couldn't get the blacklight to stay on and the projection onto the ceiling was so small and faint it was useless. I ordered another Emerson Smartset. The newer model has 3 different colored lights to chose from for the projection. I also love the way it resets itself. No bother at all. Once you've had the Emerson, the La Crosse is a huge disappointment.
