    Rated 5 out of 5★ by 10reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Pricey but nice I hate buying gifts that break after a few times of playing with them. Thank goodness that Legos don't. This set is nice, but I hate the high prices that Lego charges, which makes it difficult to buy more than one set at a time. 08/25/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by great build, great set this is the best guardians set its a great one for hero fans and for all around builders. 06/05/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by One of the Most Unique LEGO Spaceships Ever Made So I recently just bought the whole line of Guardians of the Galaxy sets because I'm really pumped for the movie. And I do have to say, this set is definitely not a let down and it is unique and amazing. First I'm going to talk about the mini figures and than I'll move on to the ships themselves.Minifgures:Star Lord - This version of Star Lord is exclusive to this set because of its print. There's another Star Lord in the $20 set but the print on the torso and legs are different. This variation of Star Lord is very cool. His legs are exactly the same as Drax and Gamora's legs with the red suit-like style. He's waring a red jacket that has a lot of detail on it. His face printing doesn't resemble Chris Pratt's face which didn't bother me that much. HE also includes a weird little robot thing that looks like something that helps defend him I believe. It's a nice little mini build.Gamora - Gamora is exclusive to this Summer wave of mini figures. She has a green face and nice hair with pink highlights. Her torso resembles a similar jacket to Star Lords just more fit for a woman.Drax - I wasn't too into the Drax figure because the colors on him didn't resemble the one in the film that much, but he is a very well done figure. His torso and arms have really well made red tattoos with a whole lot of detail. His dace is pretty plain with only 1 side face with a pit of red on it.Ronan - Ronan I believe is the main villain in the movie (don't get me wrong because I haven't seen it) and he's a interesting figure. He doesn't look like a very evil figure more like a Star Wars alien thing. He has place and grey pants, black and grey torso, blue hands, a blue face , a interesting grey helmet, and a nice black cape. He includes the silver orb and a hammer, weapon type thing.Sakaaran - There are 1 Sakaaran in every Guardians of the Galaxy set so he is the only non-exclusive figure. I really like the Sakaaran though they are so cool! He has a halo type fun and grey pants, a cool torso, a black cape helmet, and a very menacing and cool looking face.Main Builds:Necrocraft - I have mixed feelings about this mini ship for the bad guys. It looks kind of sloppy but pretty cool. Maybe thats what it's supposed to look like in the film. It has a nice cockpit with a window with very cool red stickers. It has two of those easy blasters that you just touch a bit and they shoot. Its a very great build, definitely weird, but it's a nice little addition to the set.Milano Spaceship - This spaceship, to be honest with you, is one of the most unique spaceships LEGO has ever built. In Star Wars, we get a lot of spaceships but they all look a bit too similar. Spaceships that look like this are what we want because they're different and unique. It's a lot bigger in width than I thought it would be. The ship isn't long at all, but its very wide. It has that type of bird look and resembles a lot to the pictures I have seen from the movie. The ship is so satisfying in the set it completes it and satisfies you. IT is very well detailed and overall epic. Inside the ship there is a reclining chair for Star Lord that has two holders for his blasters. You can fit knives andy other guns in the holders too, but not swords because they are too tall. There are also two more seats for Gamora and Drax. It's a tight fit but still very cool. There is also one more seat which is meant for Rocket Racoon, who is not in this set. He's in another set so if you buy the $40 set, you can put Rocket in the seat. In fronton the seat is a giant boom box that plays the,"Hooked on a Feeling' song. Its a nice mini build and you can remove it from the ship. The overall outside of the ship is so cool. In the back, there are so many wings. They just went crazy on the detail in the back. There are many flaps and turning things that it just gives the ship a name for being a spaceship. The front has a bird like face which is unique and very well done using blue and yellow pieces. When looking from the top the ship looks very wide and huge. Underneath there is a lot of detail too giving it a really great spaceship look. It includes gun blasters and flick fire missiles. Overall, the ship is a absolute masterpiece. Conclusion:Overall the set is satisfying, it's organic, its special. I definitely recommend it to all Marvel fans because this movie looks very cool, like the next Advengers. So go out and by this awesome thing. Hope you enjoyed my review and have fun building! Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great spaceship and minifigs I went to the Lego store on June 1 to have a look at the new releases and planned to buy a set, probably Ghostbusters or new Chima - however after looking around for a while I decided to go for this one, and it was a great choice. Normally I go for modulars or Lord of the Rings, this was the first Super Heroes set I've bought. There is a lot more to the build of the spaceship than it looks at first, there is a whole underneath section that took a bit of time. The colours are great and the ship as a whole looks fantastic, it's very wide - don't think the pictures on the box really do it justice. The minifigures are great, I'm not always as keen on the minifigs as the avid collectors but Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Ronan, The Saakaran are all great figs - really like the headpiece moulds for Star-Lord and Ronan.I'm intrigued by Guardians of the Galaxy and now plan on watching the movie when it comes out soon, might even buy some of the comics. 06/09/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by "We're the Guardians of the Galaxy"- Star-Lord Hello, users! Mastrbildrspek here with my review on the Milano Spaceship Rescue set! Now, let me start by saying: this is the best LEGO Marvel set I've ever bought. Now, to the official review:The Set:Ronan's Necrocraft: Ronan's "personal Necrocraft" may be the smallest part of the set, but it's still awesome. It features...Adjustable wings, two of the new spring-loaded missile launchers, and an opening cockpit (who would have guessed? :P). 5/5 bricks. Great job, LEGO!The Milano: The biggest part of the set, the coolest LEGO Marvel set ever created, Star-Lord's spaceship and the name of the set itself... The Milano! Let's start off with the Milano's exterior:Exterior:The first thing about it, which I'm sure is the most unique part about it, is that the Milano resembles a bird.Complete with feathers, a beak, and eyes. It's weapons include two flick missiles, and two pose-able stud blasters. It also has three engines on the back of it.Interior: The inside of the Milano surprised me, because, unlike most LEGO vehicles, which have only one or two seats and no room, has a completely minifig accessible interior with four seats (counting the pilot seat), and two places for Quill's guns.It also has an old-style tape recorder, a fire extinguisher, and two other places to clip weapons or other accessories on to.At first, I was concerned about the Milano not having a place to put Quill's mask, but I guess since in the movie it just builds itself on to his face, they didn't really need to.Again, 5/5 bricks. Awesome job, LEGO!The Minifigs:Gamora: Even though she's my least favorite minifig of this set, she's still really detailed. She has a double-sided face, the red Guardians of the Galaxy costume, Star-Lord and Drax's leg-piece, a katana, and a black hairpiece that's stained pink on the bottom of it. 5/5 bricks (for the detail and all). Great job, LEGO!The Sakaaran: Even though he is called only "the Sakaaran" on the box, this mysterious minifig is not you're average generic henchman villain. Sure, his legs are not printed, but the detail on his torso makes up for it. He wears a robe/chest-plate, and looks like he has three bloody scars down his left shoulder (of course, I can't really be sure, because it seems to be on all of the Sakaaran stuff), he also has a double-sided head, one side with a weird looking mask, showing only one of his eyes, and the other side showing his actual alien face. He also comes with a huge gun. 5/5 bricks for this guy!Drax: Ah, yes... Drax the Destroyer, another very detailed minifig, he has - as I said- the same leg-piece as Quill and Gamora, a really detailed torso with LEGO skull tattoos on his chest, back, head, and arms.He also comes with two LEGO daggers. 5/5 bricks (once again)!Ronan: (dun dun duuuuuun!): And here he is, the main antagonist of the new movie, the coolest LEGO Marvel villain ever designed- you guessed it... Ronan the Accuser! He has got to be the most detailed LEGO Marvel villain I've ever seen,he wears a black and silver robe, which looks like it's been smeared with blood in two X patterns (like on his Necrocraft), leg printing, back printing, a double-sided head, and a cape.In this set, rather than Rocket or Quill, Ronan is the one with his hands on the Orb, he also comes with his iconic Universal Weapon, the Cosmi-Rod, as they have obviously renamed it, and an awesome hood piece that looks exactly like in his first comic except in black.Plus, this is the only set he comes in. 5/5 bricks! Incredible job, LEGO!Peter Quill/Star-Lord: Finally, the STAR of the set, one of the coolest LEGO superheroes ever made... Star-Lord! (Please don't ask who that is :P). Yet again, he is one of the most detailed minifigs ever.At first, I was skeptical about his Ravagers costume, but, even though I like his iconic red coat and all a lot better, this costume is AWESOME!!!He comes with a cool mask, an orange hairpiece to resemble his appearance in the film, and a double-sided head. Some people might not agree, but I thought they did great on matching his minifig's face to Chris Pratt in the movie. In addition to his mask, hairpiece and exclusive costume, he also comes with his rocket boot thruster flames, his two awesome pistols, and the Hadron Enforcer. 5/5 bricks, amazing job, LEGO (Again). All in all, I give this set a 10/10 bricks.Hope you enjoyed!Until next time,Mastrbildrspek... 06/13/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Another good LEGO spaceship in 2014 I've just finished building the Milano Spaceship Rescue set and taken the vehicles around the room for a few swooshes.I bought the set mainly for the Milano. However the the minifigs are good, both in representing the characters in the movie and providing heroes and villains for your own stories. The Sakaaran spaceship is an odd little thing, but a nice ship that I'll understand better once I see the movieI am quite pleased with the Milano build. The ship looks a little chunky from the side but at any other angle looks great. It's solidly built (with a couple of exceptions) and will navigate the living-room asteroid field without losing too many parts. The build had a lot of new-to-me techniques, and the set has a good assortment of part for your own spaceship builds. It's not noted on the both but the two pairs of forward guns could be removed to be weapons for your minifigs. The set is not perfect though. There's a dozen stickers, and even as an adult trying to do things carefully, I do have some off-center or out of alignment. One of the guns is a "round dome with stick" attached to a "telescope" (stick with knob and tube). I've always found that combination hard to keep together, and this gun is right on the bottom where a landing or stray thumb will remove the small part. And now Star-lord and Benny the 1980-something space guy are off to share an adventure. 06/14/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by "You're Welcome" Not sure why my last review of this set has not appeared, but lets try again anyway as I really want to help people to understand how amazing this set is.Price 4/5;For a start the piece per price count is incredibly good - being 10.525p at the moment which is incredibly reasonable. Only a few sets are better priced in favour of the customer - such as the Super Secret Police Dropship.Characters 5/5;The characters are mostly exclusive to this set such as Ronan, Drax and Gamora. Star-Lord is also nice with a cool helmet and additional hair. The detail is amazing and jaw dropping though especially on Drax and the SakaraanSpaceships 4/5;The ship is spectacular though a little smaller than the ship in the movie (Which has two seats at the front rather than one) - you need another set to fully expand this to its move-accurate level however it does seem possible. The Milano has a lot of nice little details and room for the four Guardians Of The Galaxy members that are in minifigure form. The Sakaraan and his ship aren't really anything special - however its a nice little addition to the set and I feel it is re-enacting a scene from the film given some concept art I've seen.Minor issues; The Milano Spaceship only has seats intended for 4 of the crew members while the Guardians Of The Galaxy team has 5 members. Granted Groot is not represented in a scale that would allow him to fit. A potted plant Groot or a mini-figure scale would have been appreciated as its awkward how the whole team cannot fit in the spaceship. To experience the full playability a combination of this set and the Knowhere Escape Mission are required for the full GOTG cast of Groot, Rocket, Star-Lord, Gamora and Drax. I will definitely be purchasing another of these sets however as I feel it should really have had room for Groot...Overall 5/5;This set is definitely worth the purchase despite some small issues. while a mini-figure Groot that could actually fit in the spaceship - the set itself is definitely worth the price and if it drops at all then I'd definitely recommend getting a second set to help expand the interior.Take note Lego company - we need a Groot minifigure! :p 06/16/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Milano is far better than Expected Facts upfront - we have not done any star wars sets - so not a lot of 'spacehisp' builds. But the family are suckers for marvel and dc comicsl This set is by far the best Marvel set to date. Great build, nice introduction to some technic connectors. Lots of playability as the kids think the spaceship is awesome. The 5 minfigs push this set into must have territory. 08/08/2014
