That line from the original StarCraft comes to mind every time I see this set,. In fact, every Galaxy Squad set reminds me of that wonderful game, and with a little rework, I'll be able to truly make StarCraft sets in Lego. But, enough about that; on to the review... As everyone mentioned before, the cockpit swivels, *yay,* but, when held sideways, the wings aren't centered. I know it's not such a big deal, but I'm a little OCD like that. If it were real, I don't think it'd be able to fly straight. I liked the minifigs, especially the two faces on the pilot. Not really sure why a bug needs a space sled, but I'm not questioning it. My two complaints (just like EVERYONE else) are the stickers and the flick-fire missiles. Lets face it, flick-fires go 2 inches out of the tubes before gravity takes over. Maybe if they had longer launchers, or the missiles themselves were longer, I'd be okay with them. All in all, I think this is a great set and I encourage you to pick it up.

Ok,first off,I have almost all of the monster fighters sets,a ton of the superhero sets, almost all of the chima sets, and my daughter has quite a few friends sets.the last thing I needed was to start another collection especially since the new chima sets are rght around the corner.but...I saw this one on sale at the store and decided to pick it up.I'm glad I did.this set is awesome.the minifigs are incredibly detailed, and the vehicles are just as awesome.the space ships wings fold down to give the appearance of it standing, sort of like an AT-AT from star wars.the front of the spaceship rotates when u twist the ship in any direction, keeping the minifig pilot always in the upright position.it also comes off and turns into an escape pod like vehicle with folding wings.there are also a set of hidden flick missiles in the base.my favorite part of this set is the bugs vehicle though, the detail on it is awesome for the few pieces its made from.great design on this Lego.anyway, buy this set guys, its awesome.from the minifigs to the vehicles, this set is flawless.

Swarm Interceptor has it all -- a couple of cool-looking minifigs (astronaut and alien mosquitoid with neat holographic wings), and one of the most fun spaceships ever. It's an instant play set right out of the box, and quickly became my boy's favorite. Not only does it look good, but the cockpit/escape pod swivels 360 degrees so the pilot stays upright, no matter what angle the ship is at. The wings can move from flat to banking angles, to fully 90 degrees down to serve as landing legs. There's a hidden bank of flick-fire missiles, with a little place for the astronaut to stand and shoot. Normally, I don't like stickers -- but these actually look great, and I added them. They're made of transparent plastic, so they don't look as obviously "stickery" as the paper ones. The alien speeder is a cute build with a creative use of a jackhammer for the steering mechanism and a pair of lightsabre handles as guns. It looks like a fast, annoying little craft -- perfect for a mosquitoid to buzz your pilot with! And should you need reinforcements for your Futuron army, this ship will fit in perfectly! ;-)

Howdy, compadres! Have no fear, I am here, but let's get past the honeycomb and into the beeswax! Figures: Solomon Blaze. Mighty fine-as-a-pine figure. I really like the head (especially the rebreather side) and the two guns that attach to the interceptor are very cool, as the binocular pieces are a nice touch. Mosquitoid. It's a bug. In minifigure form. Oh dearest me. I just wish it came with an extra little antenna because someone could lose them really easily. Little Speeder Thing... Very simple, but slightly creative. You get what you see, which isn't bad, but still. Interceptor. BAM! KAPOW! BAZING! AMAZING! (That rhymed) Loads and loads of function filled functions with a tendency to become functions! There is plenty of room inside the opening cockpit, and the feature that allows you to dismember the ship into two pieces is mighty fine. Plus, you can fold out little wings for the cockpit once it's in half. Also, the wings can fold down for a "landing mode" and two missiles can flip upwards. I don't really have anything bad to say about it... Eat your carbs, and don't brush your teeth at night! The Man Himself, The Man.

In a word, the Swarm Interceptor itself is AWESOME! The wings are a really neat design with some interesting building techniques, and the cockpit swivels to stay level no matter how the 'body' of the spaceship is oriented. The ship would be awesome even without that feature, but when my 5yo flies this around the room, it just looks like a serious piece of space hardware. The alien glider or whatever is a simple enough design, but uses parts that aren't in most collections (making it difficult to replicate with loose elements from your other sets). The Swarm Interceptor pilot is a decent enough figure, but pales in comparison to the alien, which is modeled after a fly and is very well done. Some nitpicks would include the very easy-to-lose antenna on the alien head, and the use of stickers throughout. Usually, I don't gripe about stickers, but these are printed on especially-thin stock, making them very difficult to apply; I wound up with more fingerprints on these than I usually do with Lego stickers. Overall, the main model is a very good-looking, swooshable space vehicle that was an interesting build and features a worthy villain. Definitely worth the cost, and has me interested in getting more from this theme. -Lloyd2la

As a fan of Space, and a very big fan of Alien Conquest, I was quite interested in the new Galaxy Squad line, and this was the one which stood out for me - it looks great from the pictures. The figures: Solomon Blaze is a very nice figure, with some good prints, and a nice double-sided face, one with a breathing apparatus. The mosquitoid is made of hard plastic, so it isn't squirmy, or squishy, which is very nice. It has two feelers, but it'd be nice to have a spare feeler, as these are very small. The Set: The alien speeder is a nice, quick build, and has enough room for the alien to either sit, or stand up. The handle is actually a jackhammer piece - a nice touch there. The Swarm interceptor is nice model, and has some good details, such as the hidden flick-fires, the easy maneuverable wings, which can fold into landing mode, and the nice cockpit, which stays level when on the interceptor, and can go off the ship, and become it's own model. Overall: This is a nice set, and is priced very well, and much recommended, if you are wanting to start you GS collection, I'd say that you should get this. Pros: Minifigures Swarm interceptor Speeder bike Cons: Too many hard to place stickers More flick fires :( See ya next time, CM1

This is my first galaxy squad set and is amazing both in price and playability. The mosquitoid is very cool with a new head mold and plastic wings. The speeder is very slim and has some nice green pieces. Solomon Blaze has two face expressions and a helmet from alien conquest. The Interceptor is surprisingly large and has some cool features, the rotating cockpit, the opening cockpit, and the split funtion which then is two ships, a turret and a escape pod. I will certainly buy more Galaxy Squad sets in the future. PS. The four new sets: Crater Creeper, CLS-89 Eradicator Mech, Hive Crawler and Galactic Titan will come in july :)

This is a great set. Money wise its great because you get 2 mini-figs for $20.00 . Its a little challenging for little kids , but i think they will have fun building it.It has 4 functions witch is good for a smaller set . The one thing i don't really like is all the stickers ,but they add allot of great detail,it was bigger than expected, and you get great pieces. pros:great sticker detail, lots of functions, great price and you get what you pay for,the mini-figs are great, has an interesting build,is bigger than expected. cons:the amount of stickers and how big they were I hope that you found this review helpful =)

First of all, I'm sorry if this review is a little long but I want to cover all the aspects. The minifigures: The minifigs are nice and very detailed, but the Mosquitoid should come with extra antennae. The speeder: The Mosquitoid speeder may be small but it still has detail. The only problem as far as I can see is that there's no place for the Mosquitoid's gun. The ship: The actual set is very detailed and has great functions such as the hidden flick missile launcher and the rotating cockpit and its split function. Overall, I can see no problems execpt for there should be more minifigs.
