Rated 4 out of 5★ by WaltJr Crush those boulders! This is a truly wonderful new theme for young builders! Legends of Chima is really awesome idea for younger children and I am sure it will be a very promising theme! The characters are supreme, I think the best that LEGO has to offer at the moment, and the vehicles are so cool! I love the animal heads!Character - Crominus is a very detailed minifigure and one of the coolest crocodiles in the theme! The details that went into his helmet and armor were very cool and I especially enjoy the double-sided head, torso piece, and detailed legs. Also, the Chi harness and cape work really together and look awesome! Amazing!Speedor - Chompor V12 is one of the prime features of the set (and also racks up the price!), and is really a unique, fun build. The ripcord is really unique and offers a lot of help towards younger players. The croc-shaped Speedor itself is really cool and offers plenty of cool detail!Chi Challenge - This is probably the worst part of this set. The boulders are very hard to set up standing because they often fall over and this is a very unportable set! Also, the orc of Chi never comes out of the boulders because they don't break unless they're dropped from about two feet up in the air. Also, someone needs to hold the ramp and the boulders-challenge when on a slippery table or floor so that Crominus doesn't send it flying! Nevertheless, this is a fun set to play with (because knocking over boulders is just fun!) and fun to pair up with Target Practice. Sometimes I use the ramp to knock over the raven targets, and sometimes I use the 'missile launcher' to knock over the boulders. I just wish they would split open!Cards - The cards are very cool and have beautiful art of Crominus, his Speedor, his power-up, and his two weapons! Some of the cards can easily take the upper hand in battle when using Courage (the lion/bear like symbol). Also, the Chi bonus is pretty good for most of the cards and usually makes a good win every time.Power Bonus and Weapons - The power bonus in this set doesn't do too much except for get entangled in Equila's Gyroropt and balance out the weight. I'm guessing this makes it go faster. I'm not sure, though, because he usually can't clear the ramp fast enough to knock down "all" of the boulders. My personal favorite of this set is the weapon entitled 'Grandiorus' which consists of a gold lightsaber handle with a red diamond on one end and the new "Chi Sword" on the other. Inside the new sword piece is a red lightsaber blade. Now, the weapon is definitely too tall for the character carrying it, but it is still really cool and awesome looking!Krank is just some random, slightly boring, silver mace. The card isn't that good and neither is the weapon so I won't go into much detail. So, yes, this isn't the best Chima Speedorz set in the line but is an easy and cheap way to get Kign Crominus with his Speedor, cards, and this awesome range of weapons! This is a totally awesome set that you should get if you are beginning Legends of Chima or just want a fun, new LEGO toy! Even if they seem cartoony or for younger children I totally recommend this new line, especially if you have younger children, friends, or siblings- as is my case! I'm a teen and like to play with them with my three younger bros who absolutely adore them! I just think they are cool! 01/21/2013
