Great eInk reader. I use tablets and smartphones as ereaders but for heavy use the e-ink is much easier on the eyes. All the major brands work fine, but Kobo comes in first in comparison reviews. Also, Kobo store allows you to download as ePub for use with other branded readers.It took me a few days to get used to the device - how the touchscreen responds, navigation, etc., but it works very well and is easy to use. I love having a large library in my pocket, I love the easy to read display, I love the convenient size and weight of the reader, and I love going for days at a time without having to recharge (which you can't do with a backlit tablet or phone). I also love borrowing books electronically from the library without having to go on site.Once in a while why synchronizing they will push software updates to the device - feature enhancements, tweaks to improve responsiveness, etc.One note, the Kobo Bookstore has plenty of content, but is smaller than B&N or Amazon, some newer releases are slower to come out, etc. 04/10/2012
Nice ereader but inconsistent touch page turns In general I liked the Kobo Touch but page turning is inconsistent sometimes (1 out of 8 pages maybe) requiring multiple touches and some cursing. Needless to say this severely detracts from the reading experience. Perhaps the other touch ereaders likewise have this problem, I don't know. I returned this one and will look for one with a manual button to turn pages. 03/01/2012
