The KitchenAid stand mixer features smooth, rounded surfaces for extra safety and easy cleaning. Strong, dependable, all-metal construction gives years of trouble-free, quiet service. It features a high-performance 250 watt motor that delivers the power to mix household recipes. You can prepare batter, cookie dough, bread dough, and beat eggs and creams in the large stainless steel bowl that is big enough to handle large recipes. The convenient 10-speed control allows you to choose the speed for mixing - from very high to very low stir. The mixer can easily tilt up for easy bowl removal. The stainless steel stand mixer set also includes a dough hook and a wire whip for versatility. The mixer can be wiped with a damp cloth while the bowl, beater and the hook are dishwasher safe ensuring easy maintenance.

    This machine saves alot of time WOW! is all I can say about the durability, the ease of mixing, the time it saves in the kitchen. You can multi-task when you use this mixer...unlike hand mixers.Bread dough is a snap with this machine. It will do everything except roll it out on the board for you. Cookies, cakes, you name it, it's no trouble with this machine.With all the accolades this machine gets, there are some drawbacks. For one, it's incredibly heavy when you need to move it around. but, that is good when you are kneading dough and the machine is working it. There isn't enough space between the mixer arm and the edge of the stainless bowl. Sometimes it's hard to get dry ingredients in the bowl while it's mixing. (there is an attachment for this that works well) Sometimes when mixing, the stainless bowl gets locked too tight, and takes a little more effort to unlock. (especially when mixing bread dough)Above these few annoyances, this may be the best kitchen appliance I own. (The grinder attachment is a must have if you want to make your own gourmet ground meats.)I know $200 seems like alot of money for a kitchen appliance that doesn't automatically wash your dishes, but if you do alot of cooking, baking, etc. like my wife and I do, it's worth it in the long run.We know several who bought the other brands of mixers and ended up returning them or they broke after less than a year of use. 01/04/2009
    Durable through the years The KitchenAide mixer I own was given as a gift from my Mother my first Christmas as a new bride. My niece was so impressed with the mixer when she was 12 that I gave her one when she married, 10 years later. I have carried on that tradition with 4 other nieces and nephews and 2 close friends. This purchase makes number 6. I believe in this product, it's durable and if something does go wrong, the company stands behind the product. 06/07/2010
    Every woman's dream! I have always used this mixer in a commercial way.I have dreamed for one for years. Got as a gift from my husband and it is one of those things, once you get one you will never go back to anything else. The machine is quality built. Makes making bread a breeze. The lock down latch is so easy to slid and lift up the mixer for easy cleaning. Just an all around perfect mixer. Now I just need a new kitchen to go with it. LOL 12/23/2007
    A "Classic" I have known about this mixer forever, I finally have one and it has totally lived up to my expectations. This mixer is a classic from my grandmother and continues to be as it name intails a "Classic". I have only owned it a short time as far as using it, but I am ordered accessories and for the use it has all ready had it is awesome.Thank You 12/26/2007
