About this item

In Kirbys Epic Yarn, help Kirby battle enemies, jump over obstacles and transform himself throughout this classic side-scrolling platformer with a twist. Kirby, joined by the plucky Prince Fluff, has to track down strands of magic thread to sew Patch Land back together and defeat the sinister wizard Yin-Yarn. In Kirbys beautiful and ingenious environment, literally everything reflects the games inventive textile theme. Whether by grabbing hold of zips or swinging on buttons, Kirby can explore the fabric environment, revealing secret areas and hidden items! A game for all ages, children, grandparents and serious gamers alike can enjoy the twists and turns of Kirbys exploits together in a co-operative two-player mode.

  • The look of the world is stunning, but it's also interactive. Pulling on stray threads might reveal hidden areas. When Kirby literally goes behind the scenes, the virtual fabric warps and bends to show his location.
  • Thanks to his versatile yarn composition, Kirby can take on a variety of forms both in his common actions and when he transforms into powerful vehicles. When Kirby dashes, he zips around as a car. In water, he turns into a submarine. At times he can even transform into a massive robotic tank, a UFO and other vehicles.
  • Two players can play through the entire game together.
  • Beads and collectible items are scattered throughout the environments for players to find.
  • ESRB Rating: EVERYONE with Mild Cartoon Violence

Kids Love It!

My 11 year old son got this with his Christmas money. It was cheaper at Walmart than the toy stores. He and his younger sister and their friends play and don't want to stop. I have to limit their play time or else they will want to play all day. I can hear cheers and laughter when they play, so it must be a lot of fun. I also like that it doesn't have graphic violence. Kirby and Prince Fluff are yarn heroes who fight monsters. The kids are really happy and jump up and down each time they defeat a monster. They said they love it.

  • Ehhh... not really on their own. It's got some puzzles that are probably too advanced and it probably requires more coordination that they have. It's a fairly challenging game for me and I'm 21.

  • My son is 5 years old. He likes the game. Before we bought it, he watched the game preview on YouTube. my son usually picks video games this way and it works. We end up with no surprises. The game is rated: everyone. It is pretty simple and fun for the little ones.

  • Yes. They can and have been. My child is just learning how to play so for my child it is a challenge just learning to press two buttons at once. But this game is not too demanding, it is perfect for this kind of learning.

  • Yes. I'd probably say a 5 year old would be good. If your child can play a Mario game. Then this would be fine. The ability to read is also recommended, but not needed.
