  • About this item

Use the King Controls SL1000 SureLock Digital TV Signal Meter to pinpoint the location of local TV towers before doing a channel scan for simple, foolproof antenna pointing. This DTV signal finder greatly reduces set up time and frustration by eliminating the need for multiple channel scans in different directions. The simple plug-and-play design connects to any available TV antenna output or can be installed in-line between the antenna and TV. Rotate the antenna until the maximum number of LEDs are illuminated in the signal meter, then run a channel scan. The variable gain control feature lets you adjust sensitivity for optimal resolution in both strong and weak signal areas. This TV signal locator is ideal for use with any over-the-air TV antenna.

    Excellent Signal Strength Meter

This item worked just as advertized. This allows you to align your antenna in the best position to get the best signal prior to doing a channel search on your TV. This was installed inline between our RV Antenna and TV and it worked great. Much easier to find the stations broadcasting in the area you are camping or RVing. A must for over-the-air TV viewers.

I purchased one of these to install a couple of RCA Yagi's (one for me, and one for my in-laws), and this device works as advertised - highly recommended as it saves a lot of time and frustration by ensuring you have your antenna pointed in the optimal way.

We live in a mountainous area and have no digital TV. Supposedly there is a signal somewhere and that's why we bought this device. We hooked it to a portable antenna (attached to a broomstick) and walked around on hills near our home trying to find the strongest signal. It did register signals. The device certainly helped with that. We plan on searching more with it and hope to find somewhere for a permanent antenna.

    • Yes, you can get digital TV with a digital antenna only. This box isn't neccesary, it just helps locate strongest signal so you can point an antenna.

    • Yes if your within range of an over the air signal and your antenna is able to receive it you will get free HDTV. That's all I do at my home. I get about 13 channels on my antenna on the roof, a 15 yr old Winegard, and about 3 on an antenna I have in the bedroom not on the roof.

    • You only use this to point antenna in correct direction to receive signal. You do not ever use it again as long as you live unless the antenna moves out of adjustment.

    • You will need a decent antenna sized according to your location and terrain and a signal amplifier. This gadget is optional

    • This unit can be left connected between your TV and Antenna but I would not since it does not add value to your connection to your antenna.

    • This is only a tool to tell you when you have your antenna pointed toward the station your TV is set to.
